Re: [AFMUG] Diesel Truck Options
Looks like the truck with 198k has about 1900 PTO hours. I'm going to have to check on the Nissan. I'm a little curious what the dependability is like on the Nissan diesels. Re: [AFMUG] Diesel Truck Options
Yeah, I need to check hours on these if that number is available. On Monday, September 13, 2021, Jim Bouse [Brazos WiFi] wrote: > Bucket trucks can spend a LOT of time idling. Bucket trucks can spend a LOT of time idling. Check that before you just look at the miles. We have a truck with 200k but the engine is only 1yr old because the old engine died from oil starvation at idle. One is a Nissan UD truck with around 40k miles, the other is a GMC 5500 with about 198k miles. They both look to be in decent shape for their age. The Nissan is a bit of a strange layout with a cab-over kind of setup, but otherwise seems like a decent deal. They are around the same price. [AFMUG] Diesel Truck Options
I'm looking at a couple bucket trucks, a bit over 10 years old. Does anyone have experience with either of these? -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com

[AFMUG] OT: What do all those big tech employees do?
I'm always hearing about the 1000's of people that Big Tech employs, Google/Facebook/Amazon what do all those people actually do? We know they're not doing support, just look at Forums or NANOG with the number of providers having unresolved GeoIssues. I had a geo ticket open with YoutubeTV for over a year when they decided to just close it since it was messing up their ticket closure numbers. The Chrome team is probably what, about 6 guys? There's their little android thing too, but still 1000 people on that team? OK, Amazon actually has stores and warehouses to run, but aren't they all just contractors? Facebook is just a Database with a fancy frontend, so not much to do there either. Are the rest of the people all just doing the Ad sales? -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
