We were using planet switches but found they have some limitations we don’t
like and they don’t really update their firmware unless it’s a security
issue.

We’ve been deploying mikrotik switches lately with good success.

With the rack injector you can power pretty much anything.  And with the switch 
of your choice you have unlimited options from dumb switch to layer3 or even 
full blown router

I guess my title was somewhat misleading, I'm looking for a switch for use
at a tower site, but preferably rack-mount.  I'll look more at the mikrotik
options.
