Re: [AFMUG] adding channels to pmp320 sm with snmp

2016-10-07 Thread Zack Deveaux
When I add channels to a PMP320 CPE via snmp, I'm usually only adding one at
time. I typically snmpwalk to see what indexes are already there, then add the
next one in using commands similar to the below. I suppose there's an order of
operations to add multiple indexes, I just haven't played around with it:

snmpwalk -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannel

Motorola-Cpe-PRIVATE-MIB::gemtekDevCpeChannelIndex.0 = INTEGER: 0
Motorola-Cpe-PRIVATE-MIB::gemtekDevCpeChannelIndex.1 = INTEGER: 1
Motorola-Cpe-PRIVATE-MIB::gemtekDevCpeChannelIndex.2 = INTEGER: 2

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannelRowstatus.3 = 5

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannelFrequency.3 = 3655000

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannelBandwidth.3 = 5000

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannelEntryEnable.3 = 1

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannelRowstatus.3 = 1

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 gemtekDevCpeChannelApplyLoadOrSave.3 = 1

snmpset -v2c -c private 10.1.1.254 rebootWithResponse = 255

This may not help you but I've been using Cambiums Wireless Manager to make
mass channel changes. As Adam said, it's a major pain to script. If you beg and
plead, I bet Cambium would allow you fire up a temporary Wireless manager
server to get you by.

If Cambium has any decency in their hearts, they'd throw you a bone!

I need to add 4 10mhz channels to the scan list on a whole bunch of 320
subscribers that i cant manage via web interface (did I mention I hate 320) but
snmp is working like a champion stud horse

I dont know how to set multiple things at once there are already 6 7mhz
channels in all of them so the index stars at .6 but i dont know how to do it

Re: [AFMUG] Cambium 13.4

2015-07-19 Thread Zack Deveaux
I've seen the 'Reg Bug' as we have come to call it on PMP100 equipment using
RADIUS on v13.1.3, and possibly a few times on the short time that we had
equipment on v12.1. It wasn't ever noticed on v11.2 for us. I can't speak on
PMP450, we don't have enough of it deployed to have noticed it yet.
This was a known problem in previous release notes though - On rare occasion,
when using RADIUS, SMs may go into “Registering”
state and does not pass traffic. Proxy access to the SM is still available.
Workaround is to drop the session and allow the SM to re-register or
disable RADIUS altogether.
I don't remember seeing in the notes where this was stated as fixed, but I also
don't remember seeing it mentioned as a 'still known problem or limitation'.

Yes we use radius.

This was not a browser cache issue. The APs that had the
Registering issue had anywhere from 9-65 SMs. Cambium support
advised me to downgrade to 13.2.1 and said that it was a known
issue.

I've updated a couple 5GHz 450 sectors so far and haven't seen
this. They all have less than 20 SMs though. Do yours have a lot
of SMs? Are you also sure it's not a browser cache issue?

Yes, the Lites are a special build, 13.2.1.3 which Cambium
hasn't made available so I've also been hesitant to update any
of them.

I just wanted to throw out a heads-up for a Friday afternoon.
What is happening is that some of the SMs are displayed as
registering in the AP even after they are registered. You
could click on the SM in the table and it would take you to
the SM like normal still. This happened on a 2.4 450 and
multiple 5GHz 450 APs. The signal doesn't seem to matter as
some of the SMs had signals as good as -67 with 29 SNR.
Traffic would not pass over the SM and if they had an
additional VC for voice it wouldn't ever establish. I also saw
that overall signal levels of SMs were 5 db (give or take)
worse on 13.4. Additionally it seems that Lite APs (-APL) are
not letting me roll back to 13.2.1, or any other version for
that matter. I am glad I only upgraded a handful of APs
because I'm excited for the new CoA feature.

[AFMUG] Low Priority CIR

2015-06-26 Thread Zack Deveaux
I have a Canopy QoS question.

On a Canopy SM, when enabling Low Priority Uplink CIR and Low Priority Downlink
CIR rates, does the High Priority channel setting need to be set to enabled or
will it function regardless?

The ISPRadio interview is available via podcast. Were you referring to a
different webinar?
