Only 100 LENs were ever made due to the overwhelming performance of the
Stinger... ;-)

Does anyone still use these?

We switched to CLIPs a few years back, and I have a bin or two full of
LENSes that I'm wondering if I should post here on a Friday or just throw
them in the dumpster.

Yeah, early on we had UV protection issues, sticker material type issues and
thermoformed plastic.
We later went to injection molded plastic, different stickers, different UV
protection, weep holes etc etc.

You gotta remember that was 13 years ago when we started the project. Lots
of changes along the way.

I would have to gather them up and count them. My suspicion was there
wouldn't be any interest, even just for the cost of shipping.

As far as performance, they performed as advertised, which isn't much. I
think it was something like 6 dB gain. Compact but very heavy. CLIP works
better.

Sorry Chuck, we got away from the Stingers because they didn't stand up well
to the weather. Performance would decline after a few years, maybe the
metalized tape inside was deteriorating? Superstingers tended to fill with
water, although the redesign helped with that. And the plastic got ugly so
we didn't want to redeploy used Stingers at new installs. We still have
some 2.4 Stingers in use, but not for long, since we are gradually replacing
2.4 with 3.65.

The LENSes got a bit ugly after a few years also, but you only noticed up
close, and I think they are basically a solid block of ceramic so it was
only cosmetic. They look like they were sandblasted, or like the glossy
finish wore off exposing a ceramic interior.

Post them for sale, and see what happens.

Personally, I don't think they worked all that well...
