old news from gino, but a lot has happened since. . of course most of you know a few theatres have signed up. also - so has everyone else (or seetheinterview.com). Wonder if this was actually a marketing ploy? Lol “The Interview” now available on Google Play and YouTube Movies Posted: Wednesday, December 24, 2014 Last Wednesday Sony began contacting a number of companies, including Google, to ask if we’d be able to make their movie, "The Interview," available online. We'd had a similar thought and were eager to help—though given everything that’s happened, the security implications were very much at the front of our minds. Of course it was tempting to hope that something else would happen to ensure this movie saw the light of day. But after discussing all the issues, Sony and Google agreed that we could not sit on the sidelines and allow a handful of people to determine the limits of free speech in another country (however silly the content might be). So starting at 10 a.m. PST in the U.S., you can rent or buy "The Interview" on Google Play and YouTube Movies. It will also be available to Xbox Video customers and via www.seetheinterview.com. Re: [AFMUG] OT: The Interview to be shown here...
There was a pretty good discussion of this the other day on PBS. Every producer has a profit point, and older traditional wells need to keep producing until they are done. Stop pumping on one of those wells, and it apparently will kill the well without a huge expense in re-starting. Fracking wells are different, they are generally short-term, and if the profit is too low, they simply stop drilling new wells until the prices recover. One guy mentioned that the big expense is starting the well. Once it's producing, the cost per barrel is next to nothing. -- bp On 12/24/2014 8:20 AM, Ken Hohhof via Af wrote: It’s also an economics lesson for any of us who think about starting a price war with the industry cost leader, like the cable companies.
