Pretty neat. Ideas to reality, very nice. Can you post a couple of pics of

The gimbal is controlled by raspberry pi and tiny PLC... 12 vdc 5Amps battery 
and some conversion to 5vdc...my lil bro works for Raytheon... he is  EE and 
ME... actually not the smartest one in family... my youngest sister has real 
high IQ but only likes to readreally good at math but its boring for 
her...I wish I had their brains.

[AFMUG] Telescoping mast with gimbel

My brother designed this for filming his daughters soccer games...the
camera can be moved via remote control and viewed on tablet.  Anyways my
cousin did the machining.  This one breaks down to 4 feet and fits in a
pouch for easy carrying and fits in small car trunks.   He is making me one
for site surveys
