Most concrete structures we are on we start with the limits from the owner.
Some dont want any penetrations whatsoever, some have certain areas you can
put in some shallow anchors and some dont care if you chisel a hole in the
roof.

On old grain silos when possible I prefer to use non penetrating mounts,
you never know where there are fractures in that old concrete

If you only see yourself as part of the team but you don't see your team as
part of yourself you have already failed as part of the team.

I am really fond of these concrete anchors that have a lead/tin alloy shell
with a concrete nail in the center. They have a flat round head and a skinny
base. Once you pound them in you can't get them out. Very fast to install.
They are shaped kind of like a round headed Phillips screw with a nail
through the center. Damn I wish I could remember the name. Kind of like the
below but bigger and beefier.

I always enjoy using the Ramset as well. Probably the fastest but it takes
two people on a vertical surface. One to hold and the other to set. Its the
closest you can get to being on the firing range and still working.

We always called those 'hit pins'. I like them, but it sucks that you can
never get them out without drilling them out. I prefer to set expanding
anchors and then bolt to them. That way you can always remove the nut if
needed.
