We ran our own email server with 12,000 email accounts. It took up about
2 hours per week for a sysadmin person. Not really that hard.

Everyone.Net is STILL having issues with their email systems. Going on

Well they charge $5.00 per email for their customers who cancel. That's
good money! They should be able to afford something better. You would
think with nearly 250K customers that it would make sense to run your own
mail system. That is a ton of revenue going to everyone.net.

Hi,

When Digis purchased my company 20 months ago, they moved all of our
email accounts (over 10,000 of them) to Everyone.Net. I'm not sure if we
were one of their larger domains, but during the last 20 months, they
have had more outages and problems than we had during the previous 10 years.

Their SMTP service has been unresponsive for the last 8 hours... and
their response is "we are working on it". Amazing. All they do is email
and they can't even keep an SMTP service running.
