I think it's worth keeping a reference to it on the basis that it
physically still exists and works, and the Agoran community is permitted
to use it by the administrators. Theoretically it's usable if we ever
find ourselves in need of fora.

CFJ 3583  is directly relevant (it
discusses a situation which could potentially have ratified a former
player into being a player – it didn't work).

I am not sure that the precedent is correct, though: rule 1551 has
higher power than rule 869, so might be able to override the consent
restriction on registration, and that wasn't discussed in the judgement
at all. (Rule 2201 has equal power, and loses the tiebreak, but I think
rule 1551's power is the power that's relevant for the change.)

I think so. They are tracked only in the monthly report. So the weeklies
could ratify, given some ambiguity, to keeping previous information
unmodified. There's no “deregistration log” and no self-ratifying
document saying someone was deregistered, save exceptions.

report couldn't reasonably register someone without express consent. But
that seems sketchy.

Incidentally, this has reminded me that officers, specifically, are the
only entities who can be the trackers of switches. Assets can be
tracked by any entity, but switches only by officers. And
"recordkeepor" only has meaning when applied to assets; there's no such
thing as the recordkeepor of a switch.

This means Murphy's Tracker of Hats fix proposal is sadly hopelessly
broken (the "recordkeepor" of any switch is undefined, so it would have
created individual Tracker offices for each and every switch and
installed Murphy in all of them), but snail missed it two Promotor
reports ago and self-ratified it out of existence, which is probably
for the best.

I just realized that I DON'T include that, and argued that it should be

While we're talking about this, it'd be nice to fully norm on whether we
do obfuscated emails or not. I think either is fine (or even letting
people decide if they have strong feelings) but the mix seems a little

Is this sorted in any particular way? I liked the old version where
oldest-registered players were at the top, but alphabetical would also
be justifiable (unless there's an order that I'm missing now).

The tue list was indeed changed via an emergency actions, if I recall
correctly. gio changed in the 2023-05-15 report. I guess it was my
mistake. I'm sorry.

Going forward, to avoid mistakes like this happening again, I'll implement
automated tracking of changes. Those will generate notices which will
go in the NEWS section.

My objection is that e can deregister. Or I guess you could ratify em
away if e wishes. But it seems rather a bad idea to ratify things away
in reports as a general matter. Firstly because intentionally
inaccurate or negligent reports are not even reports (reaffirmed
recently with regard to your own reports). And secondly because it
just feels wrong to change the status of players without their being
the actors.

I’m intensely glad nobody mentioned this on -business, or called my attention 
to it in any way, until AFTER Proposal 7867 passed. The accounting shenanigans 
required when a player deregisters while holding shinies are annoying, but the 
damage is irrelevant because 7867 zeroed player balances.

For these characters, it displays correctly in html and breaks in text:

That's expected behavior to me.

But for THESE characters, it displays incorrectly in html, but WORKS in 
text!  That's the part I can't figure out:

BTW, let me know if you intend to keep Registrar or would rather hand it
off. Either is fine with me, and it's probably better to have more
officers than a few people with several offices. Also, don't worry about
the monthly report - no one has ever published it and it exists because
I intended to (and still intend to) update the historical player records
since they had gotten a bit malformed over time.

omd (the maintainer) did at one point have filters on it, but I don't 
remember if e has to manually approve new addresses or not, or if that's
only to Official, or what.

omd also manually ups the size limit; e did this for me as Rulekeepor.

max text length - i know that I was able to get around this in the past
