Personnellement, je suis formateur pour enseignants à l'utilisation d'Edubuntu dans mon pays d'origine (la Belgique). Pour que la transition se passe bien, les postes sont tous équipés en dual boot, Windows et Edubuntu ou s'ils ont choisis des Mac, Mac OS X et Edubuntu. The *Ext3* file system is the *Ext2* file system which has been extended by *journaling*. Ext3 is backward-compatible to Ext2 - an Ext3 volume can be mounted and used as an Ext2 volume. Je crois que je t'ai mal conseillé. J'avais lu ceci dans la doc : Monter en un clic une image ISO présente sur votre bureau. Et je me suis basé la dessus en me disant qu'une telle fonctionnalité était surement liée au montage via le bouton droit. Je viens de voir qu'il s'agit en fait du montage automatique d'une iso seule sur le bureau. Faut reconnaitre que le partage de fichiers n'est pas évident... J'avais configuré chez mon cousin un partage samba, tout fonctionnait. Le lendemain il refusait la connexion, le jour d'après le pc n'était même plus visible dans le réseau... Je ne suis pas encore retourné tenter de résoudre le soucis... Cannonical ne décidera pas de passer à Chrome sur la seul base du désir de l'utilisateur. Si FireFox ne cadre plus dans les objectifs à long terme de la distribution, il faut mesurer les changements qui serait nécessaire d'y apporter et considérer si le côut de ces changements est supérieur au coût d'adapter sa distribution à Chrome. Un point encore plus intéressant, qui est régulièrement soulevé dans les specs d'un système idéal, serait surtout de séparer les data des settings ! Il l'affiche soit au travers des deux écrans, soit sur celui du portable... Mais pas sur ma télé uniquement... Bonjour, Comme tous les 6 mois, j'ai écrit et envoyé un communiqué de presse, nettement plus important cette fois-ci étant donné le fait que ce soit une LTS et le fait qu'il y ait le Tour Ubuntu des installations. Il me semblait que c'était clair que c'était mon boulot, tel que marqué dans le wiki de la Belgian Team. Le contenu de la présentation a été réalisé en se basant sur la présentation suivante : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/lucid Jean me propose de l'envoyer à la liste, mais je vais pas l'alourdir. Celui qui veut mon PDF m'écrit en privé et je lui envoie. Comme je vois qu'on cherche des points de contacts pour la presse, je suppose que je fais mal mon travail. Vous avez sans doute raison. C'est pour cela que je vais donc me retirer. Après envoi de ce message, je vais me désabonner de la liste. Je souhaite aussi arrêter d'héberger le site ubuntu-be.org. Merci de me contacter en privé rapidemment lorsqu'il sera transféré. Et tant qu'à faire, je vais arrêter d'organiser les événements de promotion d'Ubuntu comme j'ai fait pour les salons Dipro ou les Rewics. We still need a presentation (not a video) with simple screenshots of the steps how to install Ubuntu in dual-boot on a generic PC. Existing videos are good for home use, but not adequate for fair public (too long and detailed). Our home-made promotion material (banner, support for the posters, ...) is well adapted for Dipro fairs, but when used in more important events, like Accenta, it seems ridiculous compared with the surrounding booths and their decoration. The cost of the booth presentation is naturally different. For this kind of particular events, we should have at disposal some professional decoration material, like deployable (roll-up or pop-up?) posters and logos. Perhaps is this kind of material available by Canonical, or we could ask tips from appropriate people and sponsors for help? Finances: 11,25 euro of public donations, transferred to Ubuntu-be bank-account. *Summary* It was a very successful event for Ubuntu promotion in a more commercial environment. J'ai reçu déjà un feedback positif de Lucien et une probabilité de Philippe Piquer. Adrien Rami vient également. Je voudrais également un peu voir où l'on en est au point de vue des francophones. En effet, Charleroi c'est deux fois par an, ainsi que Namur et Liège. J'ai reçu de Jean7491 quelques flyers, quelques affiches pour le matos promo. Selon la volonté des gens ici, on verra de l'intérêt de faire imprimer des flyers et/ou des affiches. Si on imprime des affiches, il faudra savoir si des gens sont intéressés par l'achat de celles-ci aux mêmes conditions que récemment annoncées ici pour celles en NL. Really interesting job. With a lot of development, it could guide us to a better system than mail. It could be interesting to transform it to a ticketing system. This will help people to take tickets in their area of activities (technical and geographical) This will avoid tickets without any answer. Not sure about the technical feasibility of this... The opinions about the mailinglist are mixed: some see it as a wealthy source of information ... others get annoyed by the plethora of different levels of discussion. Possibly, there should be a distinction between a more low-traffic announcement-list (sending reports from IRC-meetings, information, ... in a moderated and more top-down fashion) and the current existing discussion-list. Many hope for the first and drown in the latter. A few weeks ago there was a discussion about abusing the volunteers by sending them an unsollicited bulk e-mail... well, unless I was completely fooled: every single person who answered to my question was glad getting some interest and liked to be noticed as a volunteer. I get support requests through the Ubuntu support map every now and then, but feel I'm pretty much on my own with them. I'm missing a decent structure inside Ubuntu-be. Defenitely, I think about 5 times. In my experience people often get in touch for a CD but if you lead them to the right how-to's, they dare try it themselves too (which gives them a good feeling if they succeed too - self confidence). If I could give some advice: maybe you could create a wiki-page that could get sent to all support points once a year containing support tips (which they could then append). f.e.: how to download - burn a CD. And as my health was worser day after day, I had to stop also these activities. (Just for info I also had to stop to work since february). J'écris ce message en Français car je ne sais pas si c'est valable de l'autre côté de la frontière linguistique. Il est coutume, au moins ici en Wallonie, d'avoir du rédactionnel qui accompagne des publicités toute-boite afin d'éviter de payer une taxe quelconque. Ce rédactionnel, c'est pour éviter de payer la taxe, mais s'il est intéressant, des gens le lisent. Cela pourrait être intéressant de préparer du rédactionnel pour ces publications pour promouvoir Ubuntu-be. Alors la, on aurait deux possibilités, soit on réussit un one-shot et on fait la promotion d'Ubuntu au sens large. Soit on peut publier régulièrement et on fait de la promotion des différents aspects d'Ubuntu. But, I propose to open a page on the wiki and put the RSS links you want to see on the planet(s) ? This is still a test. After this test, we'll see if we'll integrate it or not. For the feeds, the syntax is [http://url of the rss feed] name = name of the feeder face = if you want to put a picture (hackergoshi) of the feeder facewidth = width of the pic faceheight = height of the pic I will centralize them in a config on the server and cron it 6 times a day. Nous nous sommes rendus-comptes que cela n'était pas si mal car : - vendre un CD à un prix dérisoire est un acte symbolique pour l'acheteur et donne une importance à celui-ci - quelques prises de tête parfois, mais cela permet d'insister une nouvelle fois sur la différence entre Libre et gratuit (et il y en a bien besoin…) - nous ne retrouvons plus avec des personnes qui prennent 10 CD pour les jeter un peu plus loin… Cependant, 3 000 CD, c'est beaucoup et nous n'écoulons pas tout le stock en 6 mois et n'arrivons même pas à rentrer dans nos frais (même si la release d'avril le permet plus facilement avec tous les évènements incluants les acteurs du Libre comme les RMLL, braderie de Lille, fête de l'huma…). Et c'est là que plusieurs LUG et associations nous ont également demandé des CD car elles ont du mal à s'en procurer (même si ce n'est que 10, 20, 50…). L'idée serait la suivante : - faire une liste pour voir la demande (peut-être nous pouvons éventuellement dépasser les 3 000 CD et avoir un prix de revient plus bas) - cela nous permet de nous « délester » d'une grande quantité de CD « à rentabiliser » (pour nous, l'idée n'est pas de gagner de l'argent avec ces CD, mais au moins, de ne pas en perdre) en vous les vendant pour un prix avoisinant le coût de revient (c'est à dire CD + pochette trois volets dans les 0.50 - 0.55 €, prix unitaire, selon vos besoins). - nos CD sont francisés (c'est un projet interne ubuntu-fr). The thing is, even if I'm not completely ignorant concerning Ubuntu, GNU/Linux, and am getting used to installing it on people's PCs, I'm a 19 yo student in first year. It might not be so positive if I talk about this in front of public, so if someone a little more experienced (or at least more impressive/credible than little me) feels like talking, I'd be pleased. Last time, the planned gutsy event was blown off, it ended up in a fuss between n-hitec, lilit and us, but I suppose they've learned of it, and this time will surely be the right one. It is a too good occasion, touching young people on Sart-Tilman directly, to not be part of it I think. So please, if you can spare a day in April to come over to Liège, we will be able to set up a little Ubuntu-be table with our laptops, giving out CDs, etc... and someone could talk at the presentation. Hardy comes out April 24th, which is a Thursday, I would do this the same day and burn live-CDs there... (In all cases, it will have to be done during the week I guess, no students on the campus over the weekend ;-) Pierre - Version française: Donc voilà, re-belotte, N-Hitec remets ca et je trouve que c'est bien. Cela nous permettra de toucher un maximum de jeunes gens, directement sur leur campus. Évidemment je serai présent, ainsi qu'un ami, nous pourrons amener nos portables, présenter l'OS et même distribuer des CD, voire installer. Si vous pouvez vous libérez ce jour-là ce serait super, si vous préférez une autre date pourquoi pas, il faudra juste éviter le Weekend, vu que nous aurions pas un grand public dans ce cas. Pour info, ssh = quand besoin de la ligne de commande (les apt-get install et apt-get upgrade etc...) Pour la prise en main du bureau, VNC par SSH, c'est se compliquer la vie. En effet, FreeNX passe déjà par le SSH et en plus en compression = vitesse supérieure à VNC. The advantage, is the connexion is done by a simple netword card, no specific drivers needed, no connexion setup (you put it in the outlet, and it's working). Je te conseille d'installer bootchart qui au redémarrage suivant va te faire un beau graphique avec le temps de chaque étape du boot...
