Ah yeah, I see. Well, perhaps if you use the touch cursor or object navigation
9can't remember what screen-reader you are using) you willb e able tos ee this
in formation. While vlc has a ton of useful keyboard commands, screen-readers
don't seem to do well in all the dialogues/screens of the programme.

Buying Leasey seems like overkill just to be able to do that. Not really
sure how it's supposed to help. Never did really get into the idea of trying
it out and now my JAWS is a bit past it so doubtless I'd have to upgrade
that as well. Does Leasey have specific VLC-geared features?

Re: [all-audio] Further VLC question

2023-01-06 Thread JM Casey
You should be able to in most files. I don't think you'll get any feedback from
your screen-reader though. Can't recall the keystroke offhand ... ctrl-t maybe?
It'll be in the list of VLC keyboard commands, anyway. You have to enter in the
time value.

I also would like to know (using VLC) if you can go to a specific place in a
file) so let's say you've been listening or watching a file, but don't have
time to take it all in: can you issue a command so you can pick up right where
you left off the next time? You can do this in Winamp (may be other players
where this can be done) so am wondering if VLC will allow for that?

Some useful tips coming out of the discussion on VLC keystrokes.

Would someone tell me if you can skip directly to the first and last files in a
playlist please?

Thanks,

Ray.

Okay...so what's the magic command to go to where you want to go in a film...or
whatever?
