I am completely stuck at this point with customer commitments hanging on my head. So for me it is like P1 though I completely understand it cannot be P1 for OO itself. I did not see anything happening to this bug for last 7-8 days. So if you can kindly resolve this in a fast track, I'll be very much grateful. Please let me know the progress, if possible. [sw-issues] [Issue 49553] OpenOffice crashes on loading a malformed document
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=49553 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 22 01:12:54 -0700 2005 --- There is a balance to find between helping the user to work around an exception and gathering useful information for the engineering to understand the issue. My perception is that in this particular instance, we are nowhere: - The exception does not spot the problem back to a malformed content.xml, so the report is of little help. - The user has lost its work, anyway. So my feeling is that the exception should be better catched, at least for the engineers, since it can't help the user. Having said that, I have succeeded in rescueing the document: - There were a missing *opening* text:ruby-base tag and a missing *closing* text:p tag. I'm not sure how this can help. [graphics-issues] [Issue 2497] allow import of SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)

But the problem behind the scenes is a bug in the interpretation of the svg:stroke-opacity attribute of OpenDocument format by the OpenOffice draw component. This is already described in issue 42959. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 42959] svg:stroke-opacity had a opposite value
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=42959 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 22 02:06:41 -0700 2005 --- I think, this problem has first priority. OOo 1.9x currently produces draw documents that are simply wrong according to the OpenDocument specification. Section 15.13.12 Opacity states: The attribute svg:stroke-opacity specifies the opacity of a stroke. The value of this attribute can be a number between 0 (fully transparent) and 1 (fully opaque) or a percentage. When I currently produce a drawing with strokes that are nearly transparent, this is saved e.g. in a document with a style attribute like svg:stroke-opacity=90%. If you fix this problem all drawings created so far become damaged. Therefore, the milestone mentioned above OOo Later seems careless to me, maximum is 2.0. If we to fix this, we have to modify all our sample files which use svg:stroke-opacity too. You should care about your customer's documents at least as much as about your sample files :-) Was this problem introduced with this e-mail -- forgetting a (1.0 - x) computation? http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200306/msg00023.html Ah, before I forgett, when currently correctly converting SVG documents into valid OpenDocument documents, OOo renders them wrong (see issue 2497). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. It seems absolutely ridiculous that in version 1.9.100 you have the great view options of handouts etc and can change the colour options to black and white etc, but at the end of it all when you click print it prints colour slides. Ideally I think that we would have a print dialogue similar to pp that defaulted to what was the current view/colour option. This almost seems strange enough to me as to be a bug instead of an enhancement... It isn't at all what the user expects. [graphics-issues] [Issue 37213] should not move them to topleft for which does not have (0,0) in svg:d or draw:points
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=37213 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 22 05:25:31 -0700 2005 --- Is this a problem during import or export? I created (by fiddling around with the svg2draw filter) a perfectly looking draw document (after being loaded) that is corrupted when saved again with OOoffice (1.9m100). The perfectly looking is relative, because when clicking on the bezier path in the middle (I'll attach the document), the handle point that denote the selected object are outside the bounds of the path elements. Such graphics object cannot be created within OOoffice itself. What's going on during save is some sort of (broken) normalization process. The result of it is the bezier path being moved with its left upper bounds to the top left of the document. The summary of this issue is not much helpful for helping to find it -- before reporting a duplicate. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I'm currently using 680m100. Cut one cell, pasting somewhere else leads to defects in related cells. e.g. attached file in Line 2, you could cut and past the value 72 resp. 1002 to left resp. right and the result is a defect in the refered Sum. So you can get off the can't use OOo without this feature soap box. While I agree that OOo should have this extra functionality it is far far far from being a show stopper. This feature should not be an automatic insert either. There should be an insert cut or copied cells on the right-click menu, but it should not be automatic when pasting. Additionally, cut, should not cut the row or column, it should only cut the contents. That is what delete column / row is for. If you want a cut row or column feature request it as a separate feature, but do not modify the existing cut functionality. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
