Please be more specific: I can't reproduce on Win XP SP2. What OS you're using,
where have you downloaded from, have you checksummed the downloaded file, how
did you unpack, how did you install, what is the error 1305 about?

When printing a document which contains the font Ruach LET, the font is
totally broken.

Exporting the same document to pdf works fine.

Note: If you need the font, I'll mail it to you. I won't append it to this
issue because of licence restrictions.

Pls take pity with us :-)

'Depot.Currency' would be enough and '-OpenOffice.org Basic' could be: OOo
but
   'OpenOffice.org Macros Dialogs.Depot.Currency - OpenOffice.org Basic'
is too long for a editor window using the half of my sreen.

Tabs of for example font settings or other dialogs aren't readable because
OpenOffice overrides the text color.

Normally the default color of inactive tab sheets should be white in this skin,
but OOo seems to override it and put it all times _black_ which results in not
readable text.

See attached screenshot.

I already asked the developer of the XP Skin about this problem and he told me
that the app overrides it instead of using the default color assigned by the
skin.

The problem exists on 32bit Windows XP Pro, too.

On a Linux system (Suse with KDE 3.3/3.4) pdf files generated (exported) from
OpenOffice are not correctly shown in kpdf, OOo 1.1.4 is used.
The weird thing here is that kpdf does show pdf files generated from other
programs in the normal way (as Adobe does), so it doesn't seem to be a bug in
kpdf. Thus could this possibly be a bug of our pdf export feature? Feedback
please.

Hello Louis,
I know the questions and concerns about the LGPL and GPL.
However, I'd like to know if it is possible for Aiet and David's tool to be
uploaded as soon as possible at first, and see if everything can work. Then, we
may focus on the licence problems.

Ok really bad way to insert images, but... maybe can be fixed in OOo.

I've found this problem working with KWord and NeoOffice/J on OSX but I've
confirmed it being present also on OpenOffice 1.1.4 on Windows and OpenOffice
1.9.104 on Linux.

With KWord I can't save in SXW format because of a bug in KWord export filter,
so I'm using RTF to save the documents I'm working on and then saving them in
OpenOffice format with NeoO/J. The problem is that ordered lists are seen like
a single continuing list. That is, adding more than an ordered list with
paragraphs between them is loaded as it was a single list which continues
ordering from the last number of the previous list.

I'm going to attach a testcase (both the original KWord document and the RTF
saved).

Originally I thought it was a bug in KWord filter, but the RTF is loaded
correctly on MS Word, AppleWorks 6 and also KWord itself.

The summary is the error message on attempting to launch soffice after
installing. I followed directions, executing rpm -Uvih *.rpm on the rpm files in
the RPMS installation directory, and all files appear to have been installed in
/opt/openoffice.org1.9.109/ Get same error regardless of whether I attempt to
run as root or as ordinary user.

My os is Fedora Core 3. The current released version 1.1x of OO works okay.

For me there was no problem with GTK themes in OOo, and the VCL theme really
does look ugly. There should at least be an option to use GTK themes, even if it
is not compulsary.

1st of all: what does not show correctly mean. Issue reports without clear
description are not very helpful.

Please attach sample document screenshot.

Most likely this is not a bug in OOo and not a bug in kpdf. It probably is a bug
in ghostscript that in turn is used by kpdf to display the pdf.

And your conclusion it shows other files ad Acrobat does thus it is not the
fault of kpdf is not valid either.

If Adobe Acrobat Reader can show the PDF correctly and kpdf doesn't - what does
this tell you?

Every dachhund is a dog, but this doesn't make every dog a dachshund.

The test case, BadGroupTest 3.10.odt, still does not work correctly in build
1.9.109. The little ticks are not is the same position as the orginal.

MOREOVER, if you use a typical text selection to copy the shape then paste it,
the result is just as bad as the orginal bug in the copy/paste of shapes.

To reproduce the bug, use the sample text document!!
1) Place the cursor above the sample shape with the tick marks.
2) Press and hold shift, cursor down past the sample shape. (so that the sample
shape is hi-lighted.
3) copy the selection, (use ctrl-c or whatever).
4) move the cursor down a couple of lines.
5) paste (ctrl-v)
6) notice how the pasted shape is in a very bad position.

Please reopen this bug.

It seems that OOo1.9m106 can handle custom powerpoint motion path with the
import filter but there is no way to make them from scratch.
e.g. I want a simple rotation/translation of an object or a more sophisticated
trajectory.
There are some sophisticated pre-defined motion paths in the custom animation
menu and it is strange that basic user-defined animations are impossible.

Using an x-y chart created from two columns; date and bodyweight
Date in spreadsheet is in user-defined format (-MM-DD-NN)

Left and right-click chart and select edit

Format|Axis|X Axis
Tab: Scale - date shows in date format
Tab: Numbers
Start selecting a user-defined date format MMM-DD
Left-hand column highlight jumps to user-defined
Finish entering user-defined date format
OK to save setting

Format|Axis|X Axis
Tab: Numbers
Left-hand column now has date hightlighted, rather than user-defined but
user-defined is written under the selection panel in which MMM-DD has been
entered
Tab: Scale - date now shows in number format rather than in date format

When a paragraph style declares a non-zero space before value, as for instance
the built-in Heading 2 style does, that space is supposed to be suppressed when
a paragraph with that style occurs as the first paragraph on a new page. This is
very useful behaviour, full of Goodness: LaTeX-like, enoucrages separation of
content from presentation, preserves smooth flow, ...

This happens correctly when the pagebreak is 'automatic', i.e. 'internally'
generated by Writer as it notes that there wouldn't be enough room for the
Heading and enough Kept-Together lines of the subsequent para.

However, it does *not* happen after an explicit pagebreak, inserted from the
'Insert... Manual Break' menu.

This issue may be related to issues 43450, 44520, 45835, and 36916; but I don't
think it's a strict duplicate. I've entered it as a PC-Windows XP issue since
that's the platform I've come across it on; I'm running the most up-to-date
beta, 1.9.109. I will (Issue interface permitting) attach a minimal example
document illustrating the Issue.

People won't have the patience for that kind of stuff, macros written for 1.1.4
should work on 2.0 . It's not even about backwards-compatibility since this
function is still commonly used.

In the “Issue Writing Guidelines” on
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/bug_writing_guidelines.html the
“priority” of an issue is described as “How urgent is a fix required?” This text
misleads the submitter. He thinks, when it is very urgent for him, then it is a
P1 issue. Some issues maybe get a false P1 priority because of this text.

Of cause, you find a better description on
http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority, but that is
not linked from http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html.
Perhaps the same text as in the above mentioned “Entering and modifying issues”
can be used, which is “This field is utilized by the programmers/engineers to
prioritize their work.”

When inserting a chart of type net in the percent mode, values are not treated
correctly. I suppose the (absolute) values are summed up (as in stacked mode).
This renders the result useless. In the example (see URL) there are two objects
with identical values (G and G') which does not show at all in the diagram.

What I expect from the diagram is the following scaling: 0% represents the
minimal value in the data, 100% the maximal value. Consequently, two objects
having the same value for an attribute will be displayed at the same place on
the corresponding axis.

PS:
Version: Also found in OOo 1.0.1
OS: Also verified under Linux

Same happens when you switch to write-protected and back to writeable: the title
bar misses the filename suffix and after saving, it magically reappears.

The result of this little macro is - unbelievable but true - 1 .

wrong here?
Ab - I think this is your stuff, since it's just concerning SB and no other

The attached file causes a reliable crash of M104 and M109 as well as a crash
during recovery. The doc was saved as odt file and that just made the crash
instantaneous. The Document gives no problem in 1.1.3 except that the formatting
is completely screwed. Tested on three different boxes with Mandrake 10.1,
Mandriva 2005LE and CentOS 4.0

quoteAnd your conclusion it shows other files ad Acrobat does thus it is

There was no such conclusion, as you can see when reading my report again.

I read it again:
The weird thing here is that kpdf does show pdf files generated from other
programs in the normal way (as Adobe does), so it doesn't seem to be a bug in
kpdf.

* shows other files as does Adobe
* doesn't seem to be a bug in kpdf

How does this differ from my statement?

Anyway: closing for now.

(first, sorry for my poor and wrong english)

This apear to be a old bug already fixed in latter 1.1 realeses but that
reapeared now in the 2.0. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=24519

I'm using the latest build, 1.9.m109, and this was the first document I opened
wich it, so all is defaut.

When I save a text document by save as.. in file menu, even wich out any
modification, the images in the document I'm viewing disapear and are
substituted by a plug icon which object 1 writed in the botton (I'm attaching
a image). But if I open the .odt document I save the image is there, in this
case the problem is only wich the one that I'm viewing.

When I save in .sxw and open wich OO.org 1.1.4 the figure is diferent and in
the
botton is writed SvOutPlacedObject (the other image). This archieve is also
far small than the .doc or the .odt (513.9 KB in sxw vs 899 KB in odt and 1.19
MB in original .doc)

By the way, this problem don't occur in 1.1.4 version. It saves in .sxw
perfectly and after that the image still in my screen and file. The file size
is
also normal: 988.4 KB.

The original .doc document was created in a MS Word 2003 but the image was
inserted in a MS Word 97. Until now I can't reproduce this error with another
file, only in this file or his derivates generated by OO.org 2.0. Using the
.sxw
file generated by 1.1.4 this problem don't apear.

I'm don't know if it is a compatibility problem or a viewing problem. The two
import the .doc document in diferents shapes as I will report in another bug
(some text is in a page in 2.0 and in another in 1.1). The .odt file saved from
the 1.1 .sxw file is far bigger than the direct convert .odt (1.488,8 vs
0.899,0
KB)

I have some GB of free space in HD and more than 64mb of free ram (~100mb) when
saving.

If use OOo 1.9.104(win32) Writer/Web to edit a web page and choose font size to
a non-integer number, such as 10.5pt. The first time it is displayed as the
change is successful. But when you save the page and open it again, 10.5pt is
automatically changed to 10pt (an integer number). Check the source file of the
HTML page and found that it won't accept non-integer number X.Ypt in the CSS
segment. This is considered as a bug. Any idea?

The file is a .doc document that was created in a MS Word 2003 but the image
and
these texts inserted in a MS Word 97.

A paragraph and a subtitle of text under a image apears in another page (in OOo
1.9.m109) or all in the first page (in OOo 1.1.4) when the correct behavior (in
MS Office 97 and 2003) is the paragraph in the first page and the subtitle in
another.

I'll atacch the original document zipped and tree small screenshots in png.
Sorry for portuguese text.

On slide 1 of attached file:
-selected first line of text by triple clicking,
-double-clicked the first text effect in the effect ordering box (where you can
reorder them up or down) to open effect options dialogue box.
-on the effect tab, the defaults appear to be: no sound, don't dim, letter by
letter, and 0.0% delay between characters.
-I would like to change it to 2.5% delay between characters, but whether I type
it in or use the up/down arrow buttons, after I close the effect options
dialogue box, it appears to have forgotten my choice, and it does not play as I
hoped. When I reopen the effect options dialogue box, it defaults back to 0.0%

The most puzzling thing to me is that this effect works fine on other slides in
the same file!

Sirs,

when moving out of the API focus, i.e. clicking outside of the editor, AND
leaving the focus of the main component the main components library
initialization fails.
This is appareant when trying to assign a macro to a button in a dialog upon
returning to the API. This fails, as only the main OpenOffice.org libraries are
initialized. Trying to assign a macro in the components library is not possible
until refocusing the components window or re-compiling the components library.

It is my opinion, if this is intended behaviour, that focussing upon the loaded
library should be forced if the API is in focus. Otherwise, a user is left to
wonder where his macros went.
Ofcourse, it's easy to refocus the main component but it doesn't seem logical or
user friendly.

Sincerely,

Marinus.
