That's correct the type needs to be corrected.
That is because of compatibility a new one with correct typography and same
value has to be added and the original one is to be marked deprecated.

Strike this bug. Appears to be fixed. I may have been experiencing this from
m114-m119, as my distro has been upgrading. Probably not m125, it seems to be
fixed there. Sorry.

Strike issues (1) and (2), they were probably addressed after I last saw them.
My distro has been rapidly pacing through m114, m115, m119, and m125; I didn't
test before posting these so sorry.

I didn't think to retest this or the other things, which were all fixed in m125.

The usability of the Visible Button toolbar option would be greatly enhanced if
after checking or unchecking a button on the list the list would remain open.
This would allow a person to add/remove multiple buttons easily without having
to open the menu for each button that they want to add/remove.

I'd like to search for I0 and replace it with I sub 0 (0 subscripted).
Currently, I can copy the desired text into the clipboard before doing the
search. After finding the target text, I cannot use Replace, because formatting
is not allowed in the Replacement text. I have to paste manually for each
instance of the target text. I would like to copy the desired text, find the
first instance of the target text, and click Replace All. Currently, it's very
tedious.

Create the following text in the designmated fonts and subscripts:

I0Arial, with the 0 as a subscript
I1 I1 Times New Roman "I" with both "1"s as a subscript in Arial.

Select I0 and copy (control-c). Select I1. Paste (control v). The result
is that I and 0 are both in Arial (desired), but both the I and the 0 are
subscripted. The "I" should not become subscripted. It should remain normal.

enmane:
I have some sympathy with what you say. In a recent discussion on the user
forums there was a wide consensus that the graphing module badly lets down the
suite. Ther eare big problems with graphical editing too because too many
"modes" of selection with different functions are available. After all, by the
21st Century there is no shortage of past products to act as "prototypes" for an
improved experience.

I do not know that I would have used such colourful language. It is never good
to alienate ones friends. But I do think that there is an issue of culture
here, and perhaps it is a model for the general decline of Sun in the hardware
and customer base as well. If I were in corporate control I think that I would
want to re-establish the focus on users rather than developers. But the malaise
is also in the marketing and specification. Between 1.0 and 2.0 we have seen
the rise of the "me too" style of marketing, trying ever harder to emulate a
competing product. There is no attempt to go beyond what the market already has
and create a new impetus to switch because of innovation.

So, SUn, here is a metaphor for your whole operation. Remember the slogan:
Innovate or die!

We managed to replicate the issue on a PC using Windows XP Pro SP2, OpenOffice
Build 1.9.125 language English, and MAC OS 10.3, OpenOffice build 1.1.2 and Neo
Office /j 1.1

We managed to replicate your issue.

Test Instructions

1) Open a new OpenOffice spreadsheet (Calc)
2) Input “Test” into A1
3) Input values 1-14 into A2:A15
4) Select A1:A15
5) From top menu select Data->Filter->AutoFilter
6) Click on the arrow on the right side of A1 and selected top 10
7) Rows 2-5 become hidden (this is expected behavior), the arrow on the
right
side of A1 changes color to blue (implying the filter is active)
8) Click on the arrow on the right side of A1
9) The arrow changes to the color black
10) Press ESC
11) The filter is still active
12) The arrow stays black (which to our understanding means that the filter
is
not active), when it should have changed back to blue (or never changed to black
in step 8)

Additional testing:

13) Save the document (with the arrow as black but with filter active)
14) Close Calc
15) Open saved file
16) Now the arrow is colored blue (distinguishing the filter as active)

Our additional testing showed a workaround for the problem.
Save and load the spreadsheet and the actively filtered columns will be
correctly colored.

This issue may create some confusion to the user, on whether or not the filter
is active but for all intensive purposes this issue is not critical, but should
be fixed to clarify the user interface.

1.new a spreadsheet file;
2.select completely the sheet "sheet1" by pushing down Ctrl+A;
3.input "=sum(1)" in the A1 cell by pushing down the key "ctrl", and then push
down the keys "ctrl+shift+enter"(in order to input a array fomula). Opened the
task manager of MS Windows 2000 and found the memory leaking which finally
result in the crash of the application.

I am using FreeBSD 5.4-Stable with OpenOffice.org Beta2 (1.9.125). This issue
affects Writer, although it may affect other components as well. I cannot change
any font face, because Writer immediately crashes. I'm not sure why this occurs,
but this same problem occured with the previous Beta1.

Reproducing:
*Type in some random text in Writer.
*Select it, then change the font (from Times New Roman, by default, to any other
font).
*Make sure the text is selected, and attempt to change the font again.
*Writer crashes upon clicking the drop-down box of font names.

As per issue #54210 bullet item (3):

 3. If a name is changed, PLEASE OFFER to change all references to it. I may
not quite want to do that; but hey, I may want to. I can think of a few reasons
to, no great ones but they could happen. Maybe I want to date my margin on
sales, caching the old ones (I could design a better sheet to get the same
effect of course but eh).

See issue #54210 for more detail. This is a little less important than issue
#54211, but is probably on par with issue #54212.

As per issue #54210 bullet item (2):

 2. Please TRY to move the names affected by movements of data. If I cut (not
copy) and paste a cell or row, if I insert a column, if I delete a row, if I
drag a cell upwards, TRY to make sure the names attached to the data that
changes its physical location is still attached to that data.

See issue #54210 for more detail. This is not as huge an issue as issue #54211,
but it is still very important; having to clean up after minorly altering the
sheet's layout is very annoying and could be a massive amount of work.

As per issue #54210 bullet item (1):

 1. DO NOT. EVER. Destroy the data in cells. Change the DISPLAY to say
"#REF!", but leave the content as "=Fubar * Bizbaz". I have sheets where
HUNDREDS of cells are tied to names! A corporate environment may find
accounting quite pissed if this ever has an affect on them. . .

See issue #54210 for more detail.

If you name a cell like A5 with "Fubar" and then write formuli in other cells in
other sheets in the book using "Fubar", then insert a row above row 5, the
actual content (not just the display) of the cells using "Fubar" will become
"#REF!"

Here are two issues for you to consider:

 1. DO NOT. EVER. Destroy the data in cells. Change the DISPLAY to say
"#REF!", but leave the content as "=Fubar * Bizbaz". I have sheets where
HUNDREDS of cells are tied to names! A corporate environment may find
accounting quite pissed if this ever has an affect on them. . .

 2. Please TRY to move the names affected by movements of data. If I cut (not
copy) and paste a cell or row, if I insert a column, if I delete a row, if I
drag a cell upwards, TRY to make sure the names attached to the data that
changes its physical location is still attached to that data.

Fixing (2) will suppress (1) unless someone deletes a name, of course; in such
an event (1) becomes critical again. (1) is probably an easier fix than (2) and
will deaden the severity of (2) and (3) as well as cover problems that can't be
helped (deleting a name) and SHOULD BE DONE ASAP.

I would have submitted 3 separate issues, but this stuff makes sense grouped.
I'll submit a separate issue for (1), (2), and (3) and note that this bug
explains in better detail why they're needed.

[sc-issues] [Issue 53253] Cells with multiple forma tings: space disappears when loading document

We managed to replicate the issue on a PC using Windows XP Pro SP2, OpenOffice
Build 1.9.125 language English, and MAC OS 10.3, OpenOffice build 1.1.2 and Neo
Office /j 1.1

Thank you for the clear set of steps used to reproduce the issue.

There is a slightly simpler way of replicating the issue:

1) Select an empty cell
2) Input “Foo bar”
3) Select “ bar” and change any font property (bold, underline, italicize,
change size)
4) Save
5) Open the saved file and the cell now contains “Foobar”

Expected Result: Cell contains “Foo bar”
Actual Results: Cell contains “Foobar”

In a follow up test we tried:

1) Selecting an empty cell
2) Inputting “Foo bar test”
3) Select “ bar “ and change the font property (ex. Bold)
4) Select “ test” and change the font property (ex. Underline)
5) Save
6) Open the saved file and the cell now contains “Foobar Test”, the space
between Foobar and Test is bolded and underlines.

We also tried changing “ bar “font property(replaced step 3-4). The space before
bar disappeared, but the space after is stayed.

This issue causes minor data loss, hence this issue should be fixed but it has
yet to show behavior that would severely affect the functionality of the
application.

OOo2 seems to arrange bizcard info in the wizard as follows:

FirstName LastName Initials
Street
Zip City
Country State
Title Profession
Phone Mobile
Fax
Homepage Email

Highly unlearned. The most natural course for me is:

LastName FirstName Initials
Title Profession
Street
City State Zip
Country
Phone Fax Cell
Email Homepage

Look at some job or credit card applications, or forms online. E-bay for
example:

FirstName LastName
Street
City
State Zip Country
Phone Phone2
DateOfBirth
Email

Yes they have the name reversed from what I put. In microcomputer applications
II, we did a lot of data entry into MS Access; last name always came first, due
to sort order. It makes more sense for what you're sorting by to be first,
typically last name. At any rate, I'm not a UI design expert, so find out for
yourself. Look at other programs, like MS Office or AbiWord.

At any rate, a lot of things like applications, registration forms, and the like
order this kind of information in a standard way. It's not always on the same
lines; but top to bottom, left to right, following the tab stops, it comes out
to be the same ordered list (plus or minus a few elements, but typically no
order changes are made). Sometimes it's good to get in file like everyone else.

I guess I misunderstood the problem to be that you wanted to add ENABLE-NAS = ""
for --disable-nas, which what happened when ran ./configure with the configure
line I pointed out above. Is it correct to say that you want ENABLE-NAS = ""
for --enable-pasf for MacOSX builds?

> You didn't get my point. The argument doesn't have to be a direct value

I think I did get your point and thought I had explained that in the statement
below to be interpreted as (The argument DOES have to be a direct value)

"Though it would be easier to just restrict that argument to only the values
0,1,True,False and anything else would result in a formula error and if it was
not that would be in error."

I can understand that you might want to or have to generalize from this
specific case because the next complaint would be that a formula result could
not be used. I can also understand that there may be no existing code in the
current formula handling to force an argument to be only a direct value.

Since it seems all of the above is not a realistic option, would you be willing
to agree a reasonable option would be to make the setting applicable to each
sheet in a workbook, rather than to the entire workbook?

This would allow an import from Excel using wildcards and then adding a new
sheet to the workbook that uses regular expressions within the same workbook.
The user could reference cells on those sheets within the same workbook that are
results of regular expressions.

Thankyou for being patient in explaining your objections and the reasons for
those objections in detail.

[sc-issues] [Issue 53347] Crash when looking at Aut oCorrect in calc

--- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Sep 4 17:09:13 -0700

We managed to replicate the issue on a PC using Windows XP Pro SP2, OpenOffice
Build 1.9.125 language English, and MAC OS 10.3, OpenOffice build 1.1.2 and
NeoOffice/j 1.1

Here is a set of steps to replicate this all the time:

Initial State: Make sure there are no instances of any OpenOffice components
running (like OpenOffice Quickstarter).

Test case 1:

1) Open a new or save calc spreadsheet
2) On the top menu select Tools->AutoCorrect
3) Click on Exceptions tab (if it’s already active then click on the
“Abbreviations…” text field)
4) Click Help Button (bottom right)
5) Close the help using the ‘x’ on the top right of the help window
6) Close the AutoCorrect window using the ‘Ok’ button
7) Calc crashes

Test case 2:

1) Open Calc
2) Close Calc (don’t close QuickStarter)
3) Open a new or save calc spreadsheet
4) On the top menu select Tools->AutoCorrect
5) Click on Exceptions tab (if it’s already active then click on the
“Abbreviations…” text field)
6) Click Help Button (bottom right)
7) Close the help using the ‘x’ on the top right of the help window
8) Close the AutoCorrect window using the ‘Ok’ button
9) Calc crashes

Test case 3:

1) Open Writer
2) Close Writer (don’t close QuickStarter)
3) Open a new or save calc spreadsheet
4) On the top menu select Tools->AutoCorrect
5) Click on Exceptions tab (if it’s already active then click on the
“Abbreviations…” text field)
6) Click Help Button (bottom right)
7) Close the help using the ‘x’ on the top right of the help window
8) Close the AutoCorrect window using the ‘Ok’ button
9) Calc doesn’t crash

Test case 4:

1) Open Writer
2) Close Writer
3) Close QuickStarter
4) Open a new or save calc spreadsheet
5) On the top menu select Tools->AutoCorrect
6) Click on Exceptions tab (if it’s already active then click on the
“Abbreviations…” text field)
7) Click Help Button (bottom right)
8) Close the help using the ‘x’ on the top right of the help window
9) Close the AutoCorrect window using the ‘Ok’ button
10) Calc crashes

The crash occurred on every platform every time we tried it. We tried 3 times on
each platform.

In step “Click on Exceptions tab” we started off with clicking each tab one from
left to right. Follow up tests showed the clicking Exceptions Tab is enough.
After Calc crashed and we chose not recover the documents a Writer windows
popped up. After we failed to replicate the bug (without closing writer and
Quickstarter) that lead us to believe that opening Writer could prevent the
crash. Hence after the next set of tests we managed to come up with test cases 3
and 4.

Due to the nature of the crash we think that this bug is critical since this
issue has the ability to crash the entire OpenOffice application. The bug also
re-occurs on multiple platforms which may lead to other significant problems. In
any case we feel that any bug that can stop the program from functioning might
be an issue of higher priority.

Who's idea was it to make the business card and label wizard supply a
"resynchronize labels" button in its own -WINDOW-? Somebody either make this
its own toolbar, or stick it in another toolbar, do SOMETHING so it can be
docked to the toolbars instead of floating over my text or my menus or my
toolbars (unless I unmaximize the window). This is just ugly. Whoever designed
this probably also modified Xchat to float the buttons for each channel in
individual windows.

Yawn...

Say fellas, it's been 3 yrs. How much longer? Just curious and a little more
than impatient at this point.

Anything we need to do to make this a political MUST DO? How much money would
it take to get you guys to jump on this?

Good luck getting a reply from these yahoos of developers. They work on what
they want, when they want and they wouldn't know an essential piece of code if
it came and stomped on their head. I've given up and gone back to MSO. Maybe
in another 10 yrs we'll have the functionality that was common among
spreadsheets 15 yrs ago. Heck, I'd like the functions to work that worked 6 yrs
ago before Sun bought StarDivision. Those guys probably laughed all the way to
the bank when they were purchased but they have got to be shaking their heads at
what these rookies are doing with the package now.

After creating a chart and then highlighting the chart, the "edit data" option
is greyed out. You can't go back and modify the cells used to create the chart
using either the icon or the title bar menu system.

Seriously though, when are you guys going to focus on Calc. It is THE WEAKEST
part of the whole suite. What's the problem? Is it:
a) not enough people interested in fixing Calc
b) not enough people to even work on it
c) it is a low priority

Every single review I've seen shows that this is a sore spot for the OO Suite
and things that used to work 6 yrs ago in 5.2 don't work anymore. The charting
was supposed to be fixed in 2.0 and it is nowhere to be seen. I'm just
wondering what the deal is.

Hi,

This might be a very simple thing to answer - I just haven't had any luck
searching your FAQ.

In your spreadsheet component, I cannot find the following functionalities:

1. Solver
2. Solvertable (a downloadable add-in)
3. Pivottable
4. Crystal Ball (a commercial add-in)

Please excuse if I am being idiotic and these are already included. But if they
aren't could you let me know:

1. If there are already in place, where are they?
2. If not, are they planned for the future?

Thanks,

Paris.

I confirm that this bug does not happen under XP (version m122).

I have been able to reproduce the problem under Mac OS X:
- version 1.1.4, NeoOffice/J: perfect rendering
- version 1.9m121, X11: too much bold (all texts are bold)

In short : it seems to be linked to X11 platforms.

Is it possible to have an incremental backup rather a total backup ?

Autosave function is good and save me a lot of time, however, I works on a 100
pages document (7 MB odt file) and it take around 2-3 minuts to make a backup
of my document. I've to stop doing anything (writing my sentence) for 2-3
minuts : OOo freeze and after 2 minuts, a progress bar appears : *ouf* only
one other minut to continue my works !
Maybe an incremential backup would be more fast ? or a temporary file could
record all new works from last saved document ? or a background function ?

Hope to help the community.

Whoever had the idea of redirecting stdout before forking deserves to be beaten!

The previous patch solves the problem for my testcase. I introduce the use of
waitpid for unix builds and I hope it exists whenever wait exists.

Committed to CWS dmake43p01.

@cmc: Can you check this dmake (you only need the dmake module from
cws_src680_dmake43p01, there are no changes in filter and solenv) on
one of your multi parallel monsters?

You tried it and it did work?
Well here not - neither on WinNT nor on Win2K, neither with nor without JRE.

Too sad, that I can not send you a picture of what should have happend.
However, attached you get a small piece of ASCII and a picture of the result,
when the ASCII Filter Option is not popping up.
Have a look

Hi Joe

I will close this issue for now, since if the problem is not reproducable, it is
almost impossible to find the source of it.
Should you come across the problem again or find out more (maybe after plaing
with xNumbers again) you can simply reopen the issue. (I admit that I don't know
what xNumbers actually is/are. Could it be related to this issue?)

Thanks anyway for trying to help.

Summary modified, so more precise now.

done :
1) enable the build : done (just delete MACOSX cases in makefiles)

2) fix the build himself :

First change JAWT_X11DrawingSurfaceInfo ( solaris) for
JAWT_MacosxDrawingSurfaceInfo calls

replace dsi_x11 structure member with dsi_macosx

replace odk/source/bean/native/unix/com_sun_star_beans_LocalOfficeWindow.c with
the equivalent for Mac OSX, using .m extension, inorder to be able to use
objective-C syntax.

todo :
modify the makefiles to make this buildable.

Regina, as suggested I've voted for related issue 26225.

While I disagree on this being a feature request, I'll leave it as is and allow
you or others to close it. (I don't have access.)

* Current behavior is not standard for any other application that has a block
format option.

* Current behavior can lead to data loss; it's a bug not a feature.

OK.

I finally installed a m125: same problem. I also tried to remove
$HOME/openoffice.org2 directory: same problem.

Funny thing is, the person who initially reported the problem has problems
with m125 too. She has the same as before she upgraded to m125, but not the
same problem as me. Her problem is that normal text (not bold italics) is too
heavy, almost bold.

It sounds like a problem with fonts. OOo does not load or render the correct
font weight or attribue, and it results in geometry (strings positions) not
matching the display (strings length). The exact font inaccuracy seems to
depend on the person who tests.

Hi andy999,

your are right, I missed your original request, because severeal issues are
mixed here. I hope I get it now.

It seems that the main problem to you is, that OOo doesn't change the format for
some cells in a marked range. But OOo works here as designed. You don't like
this behaviour, so your issue would be a request for enhancement. But you need
no new issue, please look at issue 26225. I think it fits to your wish.

Your comment in the attached document is wrong. The entry 222 will not change to
a number, when A2 gets the format "number - standard", but it will get an
apostroph in front and remains text (German 1.9.125 on WinXP). OOo was designed
to work this way, so no bug. Issue 23348 handles the fitting request for
enhancement.

The third thing is, that OOo doesn't calculates with texts, but that is issue
27241 and 5658, as you already said.

Altogether there is no real new issue here and you should close it therefore.

OOo only uses the gnome theme when the user is running gnome and uses the kde
themes when running kde.

It is not possible to tell whether the user want KDE look or GNOME theme when
running a different desktop-environment.

You can override the default with an environment-variable.
export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk to use gtk (gnome) Settings, use kde for gnome and
gen for generic.

When AutoFilter is used and one or more columns are already filtered - the other
columns should show only sub-sets (as in Excel). Currently it is pretty
difficult to filter futher.

This report reopens 50666 and provides a little bit of extra information.

I have two computers configured with:

1 Win98SE / SuSE 9.3 (dual boot only)
2. Win98SE / SuSE 9.1 / Win4Lin9x + Win98SE

OOo Beta2 is installed throughout.

The identical problem described in Issue 50666 is present only on computer #1
running Win98SE. In all other environments on both computers, the Navigator
displays and works as it should for regular and Master documents. Without
having performed an exhaustive review, I will state that the program
configurations are the same throughout as far as Tools > Options settings are
concerned.

A screen print of the offending display is being attached.

What additional information can I provide to help trace this problem?

ericb -> jjmckenzie

I'm sorry, I do not understand what you've made. FYI, doing autoconf is
necessary if you checkout config_office from maxosx11, because configure must be
regenerated.

About my changes : "--without-nas" switch is proposed when configure --help is
entered. So take care of this switch is IMHO the most simple.

I just still hesitate and I don't know if I keep or not if "$_os" == "Darwin"
in the test.

If ever I delete this part of the test, I'll enable the use of nas without any
change, just when --without-nas is not in configure command line.
Of course, this will become true if someone makes nas buildable a day for Mac OS
X (else, the break will come back). In counterpart, I force the builder to use
--without-nas switch every time.

Last but not least : can you please explain me *what* you are doing, or planned
building all these locales with m127 ?

"Zuständig = R".

After "Menu - Tools - Macros - Execute - OOo-Macros - My Macros - Rainer" OOo

Regina, I have reopened this for review as I think you may have have
misunderstood this specific issue and the severity of the problem.  In summary;

* Issue 5658 deals with importing an XLS file and calculating the results of a
text cell. No formatting changes are made.

* This issue (issue 53833) deals with an OpenDocument spreadsheet -- created
from-scratch and not necessarily saved. Block formatting changes from text to
numeric are ignored.

Therefor, this issue is not a duplicate of issue 5658.

The first note I posted and the follow on notes by Steve and Jacek document the
steps required to reproduce this problem.

To eliminate any potential confusion, here are the exact steps you can perform
to see that this is not the same issue as issue 5658;

* Open a new Calc spreadsheet.

* Click on cell A2.

* Change the formatting of A2 to "text, @".

* Click on cell B2.

* Verify format of B2 is "numeric, general".

* Click on C2.

* Enter the formula "=sum(a2:b2)".

* Click on A2.

* Enter 1 for the value. (NOTE: The value in the Input Line is just 1 not '1 or
similar.)

* Click on B2.

* Enter 2 for the value.

* Click on another cell. (This will commit the value of 2 in B2.)

* C2 shows a calculated value of 2.

* IMPORTANT: Select both A2 and B2 at the same time.

* Bring up the format dialog. It shows "numeric, general".

* Click OK to issue the change.

* C2 shows a calculated value of 2. It should have been 3!

* The format of A2 is still "text, @" not "numeric, general" as Calc was
instructed to do.

Note: Selecting column A and changing the formatting also has no impact on cell
A2 being in "text, @" format.

In summary: selecting a block and changing the format of the block from text to
numeric does not change the cell from text to numeric -- the cell remains text.

Please read through the steps required to reproduce this as there are specific
conditions required to see this problem and they are easy to miss.

This is a high or critical issue by definition;

* It is a break in functionality.

-- Changing formatting from text to numeric does not work over blocks.(!!!)

* The defect can easily be missed by both novice and expert; it is not a
cosmetic or medium problem.

-- Block formatting is something that should reliable, and in this case it is
ignored. On moderately complex sheets, it is not reasonable that a novice or
even an expert would notice that the calculation is incorrect.

* Data loss or a miscalculation is the result.

-- Unlike issue 5658, this is a formatting problem but the results still are
that the calculation performed is not what Calc is instructed to perform.

As such, a higher priority (top or second from top) is appropriate. (I tend to
use 4 severity levels -- ISO, IEEE, and IBM use similar definitions -- instead
of the 5 used here, and under those this would be a critical aka 'showstopper'
as data loss / miscalculation is involved and the workaround can not be expected
to be performed by experts consistently let alone casual users.)

I have already asked the person who initially reported the problem to
upgrade to bêta 2, and I will transmit her results here (it should be no
later than in a few hours).

I would prefer to avoid upgrading myself, because I need m124 to work on my
own CWS, and my hard disk is already a bit full, so a third version of OOo
(even binaries only) would be a bit too much ;-).

Nevertheless, if it is really needed, I will upgrade too, yes.

The language setting is stored inside the document. Therefore you must correct
older documents to get the right language. You can do that
(1) in Tools -> Options -> Language settings -> Languages; mark the box "For the
current document only"
(2) in "Styles and Formatting" -> paragraph styles -> default -> contextmenu
Modify -> Font -> Language

If you want to use English(UK) you must load English(UK). It is different from
English(Australia). You can surely set English(UK), but you must do it in part
"Languages" not in part "Writing Aids".

If you need further help, you should ask in forums and mailinglists.

The wrong view of the font size in the combo box is addressed in issue 47142.
But that it is not the problem, because the size is still 10,5. You can verify
it with format - character - font.
If I open your document in German 1.9.125, it is shown correct. Can you try
1.9.125 or newer?

The behaviour is not a bug and sure not priority P2. But it is a well known
problem for those who exchange with Excel. If it is importend for you, vote on
5658.

You can see whether digits are numbers or text, if you turn on View -> Value
Highlighting.

I checked with 2.0 (1.9.m125) German version WIN XP: [680m125(Build8947)] and
also (1.9.m113) German version WIN XP, : [680m113(Build8930)], (1.9.m118)
English version WIN XP: [680m118(Build8936)], I can confirm the effect with al
680 versions and also in other files with diagram.
The black bar appears, if you doubleclick the y-axis-title, after it was turned
hotizontal, but only, if the text frame crosses the border of the diagram.

I do not believe that that is a good idea. This one click to "recent documents"
should not be too much work, but I would not like it if OOo starts automatically
with the 2000 pages master document I finished last day ;-)
And if I edited 4 documents in time, with which should OOo start? With that one
OOo incidentally saved as the last one after EXIT?

Seems that the reporter tried to insert a page break into the header, what can

I installed dictionaries using the DicOOs.sxw document, and for new documents
everything is now working (although I had to edit dictionary.lst as the macro
did not set up the "THES en AU th_en_US_v2" line). I am still puzzled as to why
I could not specify the UK dictionary and why it kept going back to Danish
(maybe a defect, maybe reasonable given I did not have a dictionary loaded for
myu language setting), but I certainly had my setup wrong.
