To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=61770 Issue #:|61770 Summary:|No Video Playback but a black window in presentation |mode, ... Component:|Presentation Version:|680m155 Platform:|PC URL:| OS/Version:|Linux Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|viewing Assigned to:|wg Reported by:|tschlechter --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Feb 7 23:54:30 -0800 2006 --- When inserting a video on a slide it can be played exactly once, directly after insertion. When changing slides, controls for the video object are greyed out, thus, disabled. When moving around, or changing size of the video object, I get back controls! (This behavior is filed in issue 48997 for Windows XP, OOo 2.0.1 and 680m155 are concerned). In OOo 2.0.1, using widget set "gtk", the video window is not embedded in the slide. But if I can manage to get the window into forground, I can see the video playing. (This behavior is filed in issue 59255 and resolved for 680m155). In OOo 2.0.1, I can play a video only once, directly after it has been inserted. Even if I get back controls by moving it around, there is only a black window but no movie. In 680m155, I cannot see the video even once. In neither version, playing back a video file works in presentation mode. In full screen, there is always just a black window. Playing back the same video file with the media player (under tools) is working fine! I guess, there is a mix-up with the X-window-IDs or by the ordering of the X-windows. Maybe the media player is sending its output to the lower window, maybe the controls are "attached" to the lower window, maybe the ordering of the windows is not deterministic... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. If you are still not convinced that the layout is squeezed, I'll have to send you a picture (that I had in the presentation, but I deleted to reduce the size of the file). The expected PRINTOUT: I'd like the slide to be landscape on top of the page (ie to use up all the width). I use a laserjet 4050 TN. NOTE: I scanned only half the page (as the bottom half is empty), it an A4 page (European size). I hope you will be able to reproduce this defect. In another test, when I created a presentation with just ONE slide, with just a rectangle, and printed it, the ratio was normal. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. OpenOffice allows it. Set hyphenation on. F ill 2 pages using a 50 point font to make it easy to fill the pages and make it easy to see what is happening. Insert a long word like "hyphenation" in the bottom line of the first page. Insert repeatedly any character in front of the long word to move it to the end and over the end of the line. When the file is opened in Traditional Chinese Windows 2000 (eg, Hong Kong), some characters are not displayed (displayed as white spaces). I do have the Unicode Arial font available. So it means glyph fallback is not working. If I select the text and change the font to Arial (or Courier New, etc), then the characters will be displayed fine. The GB2312 font is named 仿宋_GB2312. For BASH it's export MOZILLA_CERTIFICATE_FOLDER=path to profile folder. for tcsh setenv MOZILLA_CERTIFICATE_FOLDER path to profile folder As I could find nothing in the context help, documentation nor wiki explaining what an environment variable is, how to set one or why I'd want or need to; I'm afraid this means absolutely nothing to me. Perhaps that's why others have reported difficulty as well??? Since you mentioned BASH, I'm wild-guessing this is something that needs to be done through the command console & may be a "Linux thing" rather than an "OpenOffice thing"--in which the Debianized version may not be setting it, if that's the problem...How do we tell if that *is* the problem? To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=61756 Issue #:|61756 Summary:|OOo2.0.155 quits if AllChars.exe is used for saving |doc Component:|framework Version:|OOo 2.0.1 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|Windows XP Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|code Assigned to:|tm Reported by:|gaborf --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Feb 7 14:56:07 -0800 2006 --- This refers to OOo2.0.155 not cooperating with another program so it will probably not get a high priority but I report it anyhow. There is a fairly well known free program for Windos users: AllChars.exe. Downloadable from: http://allchars.zwolnet.com/ This program has two main uses: to insert characters not existing on the keyboard and to insert (even long) sequences of characters (texts, names, dates etc.). This latter is called using macros. I have to create several short documents every day and these must have file names according to certain rules, i.e contain certain character sequences of different kinds. Therefore I use this macro facility all the time. When I save a file in OOo1.1.4 (and up until OOo2.0 inclusive) there is no problem. But when I want to save a file in the actually newest OOo2.0.155 the whole program suite quits in the moment I call the macro from AllChars. Whatever the macro is. So the Save window is open, I click in the white box "File name", press the keys that would call the relevant AllChars macro - and OOo 2.0.155 quits. (It is configurable which keys to press but it is irrelevant now.) I do not know of OOo versions in between because there was a serious regression in OOo (concerning self made templates and self made macros - issue 58527) which made it impossible for me to get as far as saving a file. The problem covered in that issue is solved (thank you very much), but it seems interesting that although a different program is concerned some "macro business" is involved again and, furthermore, this problem did not exist and does not exist in earlier versions of OOo. Perhaps you will have a chance to check this some time in the future. Thank you. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Odd numbers sign break points in Liang's algorithm. For a hyph_nl_NL patch, you will need big odd numbers to set discretionary patterns on. See README.hyphen in the attached library. > Can I simply add rules like this at the end of hyph_nl_NL.dic? Yes, you can, but the result must be processed with the substrings.pl program. First, you need some hyphenation pattern analysis: ]$ grep e[0-9]*e[0-9]*t[0-9]*j[0-9] hyph_nl_NL.dic .pee5tj2 ee3tj2 hee3tj2 plee5tj2 slee5tj2 $ grep e[0-9]e[0-9] hyph_nl_NL.dic .al3e4e4 .met5e4e2 .ne4e4 .on4te4e2 .op5e4e4 .p4e4e4 .s4e4e3 afe4e4 a3ge4e4 ave4e4 ... Even numbers sign "no break" points. We need greater odd number, than 4 to permit discretionary hyphenation: e5etje/é=t,1,3 a5atje/a=t,1,3 (there are also an other discretionary hyphenation group in Dutch: ``Dutch has two unusual hyphenations: The diminutive tje (for example) strootje is hyphenated stro-tje the final o of the first syllable being deleted in the hyphenated word. Where the gei(diaeresis), transliterated (geI), geu(diaereses), transliterated (geU), gee(diaeresis), transliterated (geE), koo(diaeresis), transliterated (koO), hyphenate ge-i, ge-e, ge-u and ko-o the second vowel having lost the diaeresis.'': http://www.hyphenologist.co.uk/man-4-415.htm) If you need some exception, you can add patterns with a greater even number signed hyphenation point: example6etje (not break point) or examle7etje (not discretionary hyphenation) See also README.discretionary in the altlinuxHyph2.tar.gz. This model could be used for comparing different costscenarios. Our teacher wanted a printout of the formulas in the cells to check wether the model made sense. I was able to show the formulas on screen, but when printing the calculated values shows up, not the formulas. The user does not expect dates to be changed when pasting between sheets so a tip or warning explaining the need for the same 'base' date would be appropriate. Related existing help index entries are: Date & Time Functions dates;default copying;spreadsheets The text might read something like: Tip: When copying cells that contain dates between spreadsheets, both spreadsheets should have the same 'base' date defined under 'tools - options - openoffice.org calc - calculate - date'. In particular, StarCalc 1.0 spreadsheets differ from the OpenOffice.org default 'base' date. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
