[sw-issues] [Issue 68540] export to pdf with transpa rent objects creates black background behind o bjects
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=68540 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Aug 11 23:02:41 -0700 2006 --- damn, two people reported this to me, and I checked, I used the xpdf viewer to check whether they are right. so they must have used xpdf too. watching the pdf with acrobat reader or kpdf works fine, no black background behind the footer. nevertheless, when I not export the file via OOo, but say print, and then later print the file into a pdf document from kprinter, then with xpdf, kpdf and acrobat reader the output is fine. so kde seems to use some other library. so generally its fine for me, but our marketing people wont use that export to pdf feature, because they cannot be sure that the pdf will work in any pdf viewer because they know at least one which doesn't work. I am not sure whether this is a OOo fault or xpdf please close this bug if you think its not an OOo fault. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Why *not* solving the duplicates? Not solving leaves the problem as it is, and to me, they are useless because i have to use to much clicks to start my desired action. Your argument: There is already a short-cut key does not solve the duplicate mnemonic... Solving the duplicate leaves the user a choice. Now they do not have a choice but using the short-cut key. So, i think: solve the duplicate would enhance the product! I suggest to turn back your edits... Before that, i hope to hear from you!! I look forward to your comments.. Open a new Calc document, write January in A1. 2. Select cells A1...A20. 3. Edit - Fill - Series, Series Type: AutoFill. Expected: 4. The increment field is editable, so I can get all odd month names (January, March, May, July, ...) by entering 2 in it. Actual: 4. The increment field is disabled, so I can only get the plain series January, February, March, April. Since it is quite common to insert evenly spaced dates, this solution is better and more flexible than adding explicit custom series. One suggestion it contained was to replace scalc.jar with the file from an earlier version of OO. I have version 1.9.79 on hand, so extracted scalc.jar from its cab3 and replaced the file supplied with 2.0.1. This apparently clears up the problem (exhaustive check hasn't yet been performed). Comparing file sizes: Under 2.0.7 = 542,573 bytes. Under 1.9.79 = 793,125 bytes. Thanks for your help.
