damn, two people reported this to me, and I checked, I used the xpdf viewer to
check whether they are right. so they must have used xpdf too. watching the
pdf with acrobat reader or kpdf works fine, no black background behind the
footer.
nevertheless, when I not export the file via OOo, but say print, and then
later print the file into a pdf document from kprinter, then with xpdf, kpdf
and acrobat reader the output is fine. so kde seems to use some other library.
so generally its fine for me, but our marketing people wont use that export to
pdf feature, because they cannot be sure that the pdf will work in any pdf
viewer because they know at least one which doesn't work.
I am not sure whether this is a OOo fault or xpdf
please close this bug if you think its not an OOo fault.

If you create a formula in a for examble in Writer or Calc-Document and place
there a button and change the Enable-Property to false (Property-dialog), then
this property will change automaticly when saving the Document. (Button Save
or menue document save).
So the button will be enable afterwards in normal document.

Hi.

please ...

- open the attached spreadsheet

- start the goal seek with the parameters shown in the attached screenshot:

It seems to never find an end. Calc hangs!

(A friend told me about this bug. He said that Excel handles Goal Seek for
similar spread sheets without problems and finds the values in a short time. But
I haven't tested Excel.)

@vpanter
Hi,
I am afraid i do *not* agree with your edits on the wikipage. Why *not* solving
the duplicates? Not solving leaves the problem as it is, and to me, they are
useless because i have to use to much clicks to start my desired action. Your
argument: There is already a short-cut key does not solve the duplicate
mnemonic... Solving the duplicate leaves the user a choice. Now they do not have
a choice but using the short-cut key.

So, i think: solve the duplicate would enhance the product! I suggest to turn
back your edits...
Before that, i hope to hear from you!!
I look forward to your comments..

Greetings,
Gerco-Kees

If you print it first (i.e. generate postscript at a first step), then you don't
have transparency. - instead the background will be merged.

pdf viewers not supporting transparency should be updated.

marking duplicate - xpdf 3.0.1 should support transparency (as one comment there
indicates)

I checked with 2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)] and can
confirm:
- Size of Word Automobilzulieferer increases after F2 with various changes
of spacing and letter size in the word.
- Word Autozulieferer seems to move _down_ in the cell after F2, very visible
  with big zoom factor 600
- Word Yvonne seems to move up in the cell after F2, very visible
with big zoom factor 600 (but no increase of horizontal size visible)

Effects are reproducible with various TT fonts, jump up /down also with courier
new

1. Open a new Calc document, write January in A1.
2. Select cells A1...A20.
3. Edit - Fill - Series, Series Type: AutoFill.

Expected:
4. The increment field is editable, so I can get all odd month names
(January, March, May, July, ...) by entering 2 in it.

Actual:
4. The increment field is disabled, so I can only get the plain series
   January, February, March, April.

Since it is quite common to insert evenly spaced dates, this solution is better
and more flexible than adding explicit custom series.

Hi--

Followed advice of fst and checked out Issue 59499.

One suggestion it contained was to replace scalc.jar with the file from an
earlier version of OO.

I have version 1.9.79 on hand, so extracted scalc.jar from its cab3 and replaced
the file supplied with 2.0.1. This apparently clears up the problem (exhaustive
check hasn't yet been performed).

Comparing file sizes: Under 2.0.7 = 542,573 bytes. Under 1.9.79 = 793,125
bytes.

Thanks for your help.

If you want to use the relationships, you will probably need a subform or a list
box. If you want to use two database tables independently in one document, you
cannot get this with the wizard, but have to use the 'Form Navigator' in the
'Form Design'-toolbar.

Seems to be no issue, but a support request.

Drawing an arc in 2.0.3 works like this:
1. Choose arc-tool and drag the circle.
2. Move the cursor to the start of the arc. A radius is shown in the circle.
3. Click at the start of the arc and hold down mouse button. The circle
disappear.
4. Move the mouse to draw the arc.
5. Release the mouse button at the end of the arc.

In OOodev-m180 the circle disappears immediately after step 1, so that you have
no visual control, where you start the arc.

- open OOo 1.1.5 Writer

- enter some text

- copy the text to clipboard

- open SO8 Writer

open the drop down menu of the paste button: now you can see a menu item with
bad name, like the one in the attached screenshot.

The same happens when pasting some Calc cells from OOo 1.1.5 Calc to SO8 Calc

I have nosted Impress/Draw application.

I don't know if this also happens if I would paste to OOo 2.x instead of SO8,
since the menu item name includes the string OpenOffice.org. (So this could
also be a interoperability problem between OOo and SO.)

Localized licenses wouldn't be valid anyway, as they are unofficial. So the
English version must always be included, see
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/translations.html#UnofficialTranslations

By the way, it is a requirement of article 1 of the LGPL that the license text
is included: distribute a copy of this License along with the Library.

This error also occurs when a user searches via a form filter date field, and in
my case, appears to cause a loss of state triggering an error in one of my
macros (probably my bad macro scripting) that requires a File - Reload (I use
Calc based forms).

PostgreSQL understands the standard SQL syntax:

CAST ( expression AS type )

I.e. this works in PostgreSQL:

CAST ( '2005-08-20' AS Date )

According to their documentation, Oracle, HSQLDB and MySQL also accept this
syntax.
