To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=75283 Issue #|75283 Summary|Ligatures U+FB00..U+FB06 at beginning of a word don't |belong to same word (they should) Component|Word processor Version|OOo 2.2 RC2 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|editing Assigned to|mru Reported by|tlikonen --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 11 08:11:43 + 2007 --- When any of the ligatures ff, fi, fl, ffi, ffl, long st or st (Unicode U+FB00..U+FB06) is at the beginning of a word they are not counted as a part of the word (which they should). The most notable result is that spell-checking and hyphenation component are not given the whole word and therefore they don't work correctly. Also word count from OpenOffice.org Writer menu Tools Word Count miscalculates words. You can test this issue with the following words when fi is the ligature u+FB01: final (two words: fi [=U+FB01] and nal) infinite (one word) Shalafi(one word) All the ligatures U+FB00..U+FB06 work the same way. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. OO became much less useful with this bug as it really convenient to edit some web-pages in OO before printing. Currently I've tryed to cutpaste another web page and now seems that none of pictures are actually showed in OO. Even if url is of www.site.com /*/img form. I'm sure that I have ordinary connection. Just ip address, DNS and default route. No proxies, nothing special. If some tests are necessary I'll be happy to help. BTW. Is there any way to force OO to download image mentioned in File name? It's really pain to download pictures separately and then insert them back into document... BTW2. Why this issue is still UNCONFIRMED when other people also experience this bug? Component|Drawing Version|OOo 2.1 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|ENHANCEMENT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|viewing Assigned to|wg Reported by|terablade2001 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 11 10:40:56 + 2007 --- OO Draw is a very good program that I use a lot to create schematics.. Recently I used to create a web-site tree structure. The problem that I had was that the maximum drawing area was less tan 80x80cm. Making such a work: web-site tree stucture, or using an .ODG file to store there many schematics, requires much more space of 80x80cm drawing area. You can tell that I can scale down my vector-graphics, but... there are problems like the texts are not vector ones, and I cant scale them down, unless I convert them to other formats (metafiles) - which i dont want, cause I loose some information etc.. It would be much convenient to increase the maximum drawing area to more than 80x80cm.. 256x256cm would be enough I guess (or more if there are no mem problems). Noting that I never will print such files (only if I scale down the output), but I need that much of canvas size in order to place there many different vector-graphics etc. To be able to use such files, like pools of graphics. I believe its not hard to do that change, and I hope you do it in next versions :) Thank you :) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. B) The Help on Int() and Fix() describes identical usages differently. == A) The Int() function is wrongly described: Returns the integer portion of a number.. It should be something like Returns the first integer less than or equal to the numeric expression. [The Fix() description could be clarified (?) to Returns the numeric expression with any fractional part removed.] == B) Here are the diferent descriptions of identical usages with suggestions Syntax Int(): Int(Number) Fix(): Fix(Expression) Suggestion: Function Name(Numeric Expression) Parameters Int(): Any valid numeric expression. Rounds the fractional part of the number and returns the integer value. Fix(): Numeric expression that you want to return the integer value for. Now the package has been relicensed as follows: 1) Claudio Beccari, author of the original hyphenation patterns for LaTeX, relicensed his work under the LGPL: http://tug.ctan.org/cgi-bin/ctanPackageInformation.py?id=ithyph 2) Giuseppe Bilotta regenerated the OOo hyphenation files from the LGPL files and put the derived work under the LGPL license. He doesn't maintain a web page for it, but he provided the archive I'm shortly attaching to this issue. This should solve all previous licensing concerns. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [lingucomponent-issues] [Issue 75267] Hungarian spellcheck probl ems
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=75267 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 11 14:51:00 + 2007 --- I had the official 2.1 Hungarian installed. To be sure, I've done a Tündérek... / Új szótárak telepítése to get the latest dictionaries. The README_hu_HU.txt in the hu_HU.zip says version V0.99.4. My hu_HU.dic is 5131017 bytes, its first line is 246586. May this issue be all about DicOOo updating to an older dictinary version? [BTW, why I am unable to download the latest dictinary only from a handy place? On the http://hu.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=441expandFolder=441folderID=441 page there are only old, huge packs.] Regarding bájt, all Hungarian Microsoft products use this form, including Windows. Anyway, A magyar helyesírás szabályai from the Akadémiai Kiadó says how to write words with foreign origin. Like it or not, you should write flopi (argh!), grépfrút, fájl and bájt. I like none of them, I don't suggest anyone to use these forms, nevertheless, these words should be accepted by a spellcheck. (Note that the Hungarian spellcheck for Firefox accepts bájt.) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Latest dictionary is usually available from http://magyarispell.sf.net and is packed with the official Hungarian builds. I removed huge and outdated dictionary pack from out site, thanks. Re: bájt - I know that Microsoft likes this way but definitive spelling dictionaries (e.g. Osiris Helyesírás) suggest byte. However, you can add bájt to your dictionary, if you like. So I am going to remove the tree relocating part from this patch. BTW: changing Info.plist in the created bundle did not work for me, it seems the change has to happen before osacompile ?! So I am going to introduce a s/droplet/program\/soffice/ in desktop unless this causes problems for debugging with Xcode.
