[dba-issues] [Issue 77388] invalid SQL statement gene rated by open office

I could probably build a dedicated version of our ODBC bridge which does some very rudimentary logging itself, to at least observe the statements we send (to falsify or verify whether it's indeed OOo which sends this flawed statement). But this might take a while 'til I find the time for this. [www-issues] Re: [Issue 5091] Text fields and UI missing for custom properties
Hi, Great to see another developer taking on this issue !! I believe this is one of the greatest showstopers for introducing ooo to the global business. Do you guys know where the bug is? Is it in the document handling part of writer (that can't handle these types of fields) , or is it an import issue. If it is an import issue, wouldn't it be possible (as a workaround) to recreate the fields from ooo basic, if you know where they should be? [www-issues] Re: [Issue 78285] Can't save in Writer in SuSE Linux 10.0
I believe what I currently am trying to run is the SuSE distro build, but I have also had the problem installing from file:///jl/larrymc/RPM/OpenOffice_org-2.2-9.1.i586.rpm. I have only noticed it with Writer. The spreadsheet seems to be OK. I don't use any of the other apps in a mode where I am trying to save. In a sense, URP is UNO's replacement for Java serialization. Anyway, since some of the Java types representing UNO type system entities are (indirectly) serializable (e.g., all UNO exception types are represented by subtypes of java.lang.Throwable), something should be done about this. For all Java representations of UNO type system entities but for Java representations of non-null references to UNO objects (UNO interface types), adding serialization should be fairly straightforward. Remains the question how to serialize such non-null object references. (All UNO types can recursively be contained in UNO exception types, so even if we restricted ourselves to fixing just the exception serialization problem, we would end fixing the generalized serialization problem.) For a non-null UNO object reference of interface type T (where T should probably be the static type of the reference if it is a component of a sequence type or a member of a struct or exception type, and the dynamic type T' if it is the value T',v of an ANY), deserialization should probably produce a Java object that implements all the methods of T (plus com.sun.star.uno.IQueryInterface) and throws some specific java.lang.RuntimeException (like a DeserializedUnoObjectReferenceException) on every method invocation. (In general, it cannot work to serialize references to UNO objects and guarantee that they are still functional upon deserialization, so this is probably the closest possible general approximation.) @ronald15: If you need a quick solution, I would suggest you either use UNO to send exceptions from server to client, or send toString-representations of the exceptions. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. As i wrote, VCL today is capable of sub-integer values due to it's usage of fractions. To do it right and future-safe, i would recommend to use doubles and allow API input of values below and above one (e.g. 0.1%, etc...). This may be done even by a slider which maps it's linear range to e.g [0.01 ... 3000]%, but it's just an example. The current minimum of 5% minimum is too big today and 3000% will be too small tomorrow as soon as we will no longer have zoom restrictions due to the technical reasons of integer usage in DrawingLayer. We find the following solution is the best way to solve the problem: - The Range Chooser shouldn't be a child of SfxChildWindow - Just a modeless dialog which is not connected the sfx2. - The dialog must be connected to the ViewsOptions to have persistent position and size data. - The dialog must be close listener at the frame to be destroyed on the frame closing event. cd-nn: As the Range Chooser is implemented within the calc project, please take over. No, they do seem to interfere with each other. Consider the following: 1. Crash occurs - the OOo main window closes 2. Visible are some OOo dialogs (Filter XML Filter Dialog), Document Recovery Window, and Mac OSX Crash Reporter (MCR). Ideally, the XML Filter Dialogs should be recognised as children of the crashed window and should vanish at this point. 3. The User can change the focus from the MCR to the Document Recovery, although the MCR stays on top. That's OK. 4. At this point, it makes no difference in which order one clicks the buttons on the displayed windows of the MCR and Doc Recovery. I went through all of them. The result is always that nothing happens. In an ideal world, the document recovery window does NOT open at this stage. It will appear anyway when one restarts OOo. So the User should be faced only with the choice o Buttons on the MCR. Clickin RETRY should restart OOo. Close should just abandon.
