Just select the last word before a paragraph mark, then activate Capitalise (recommended to put it globally onto Shift+F3, where old DOS-Word did the same) and the line break should insert itself, with the selection souurounding the chosen word and the line break. The problem only appears if the chart is not on the same sheet as the data source That is the same behaviour as when you copy paste a chart to a new spreadsheet. I see this as an ENHANCEMENT, a selection whether chart-data should be linked to old document or be packed to chart image might be useful. I use text-based input method and this way is for me faster than using keyboard-mouse-keyboard-mouse. I've spent only about two hours to learn OOo Math basics. I make several documents with equations and I say, that command-line method is for me better, than GUI input, for example, in MSEE. Just two hours of learning, men, just two hours - and it will be OK. On the other hand I understand, that the GUI input will help people, which wish to migrate from MSO to OOo. So I think, that command-line input must exist ever and GUI input is a useful feature for immigrants. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Currently OOo assumes it is solid. This has an ugly side effect. The automatic style of draw pages can contain an option background filling that overrides the background filling of the master page. For drawing pages without this background filling, there is no draw:fill=none exported by OOo. Loading such documents and assuming that draw:fill default is solid, all drawing page get their own background filling (which is wrong) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Words separated by a ZWSP are considered as one word. It works correctly for line-breaking. Nemeth Lazlo mentioned in th elist that this is probably a tokenization problem inside the ICU library, as ICU is the one that divides the text for analysis by Hunspell. The issue is probably related to the upgrade to the new version of ICU after OOo 2.1 I am attaching two pictures, one for O0o 2.1 and one for 2.4. They show the same texts, in Khmer and English, separated by ZWSP and separated by spaces. In the 2.4 graphic we can see that when we separate with ZWSP, then the text is considered as incorrect. I the 2.1 graph we can see that the text is considered correct in both cases (spaces and ZWSP). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=84414 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 20 18:04:55 + 2008 --- I agree that this issue needs to be tested after 51662 gets fixed. I am having similar problems on an Ubuntu machine running KDE. Calc does not respect the locale's LC_TIME setting for date formatting in the edit bar. Dates are always formatted MM/DD/ regardless of locale. In this example, I use locale en_DK.utf8 which has the date format -MM-DD. $ locale LANG=en_DK.utf8 LANGUAGE=en_DK.utf8 LC_CTYPE=en_DK.utf8 LC_NUMERIC=en_DK.utf8 LC_TIME=en_DK.utf8 LC_COLLATE=en_DK.utf8 LC_MONETARY=en_DK.utf8 LC_MESSAGES=en_DK.utf8 LC_PAPER=en_DK.utf8 LC_NAME=en_DK.utf8 LC_ADDRESS=en_DK.utf8 LC_TELEPHONE=en_DK.utf8 LC_MEASUREMENT=en_DK.utf8 LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_DK.utf8 LC_ALL=en_DK.utf8 $ openoffice.org2.3 -calc Now, I select column A - Format Cells - Numbers - Category - Date - Format - 1999-12-31. I now enter 2008-01-16 into cell A1 and hit enter. The cursor moves to cell A2 and I see 2008-01-16 in cell A1. So far so good. Now, I click on cell A1. The cell still says 2008-01-16 however the input line reads 01/16/2008. The edit bar should format dates as they are formatted for display in the cell. Failing that, it should display in the locale's preferred format. Note: the problem _may_ be that Gnome's date format is not configured properly. I use KDE on Ubuntu, with Gnome installed as the default desktop. However, due to a poorly written ATI driver I cannot open Gnome and change the setting. Googling and locating has not led me to discover which config file I should edit in VI to change this setting. In any case, Gnome's setting should _not_ be the deciding factor in which date format to use. Not everyone uses Gnome, and that is specifically what LC_TIME is for. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 85396] Chart embedded in copy of sheet references original data instead of copy
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=85396 User mothinator changed the following: What|Old value |New value OS/Version|Windows XP|Linux --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 20 23:17:45 + 2008 --- I should have been clearer in the original post. I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and OOo version 2.3.0 The problem I notice is when copying sheets within a book. Say you want to have a workbook that tracks sales for the year, in it, there is a sheet for each month and a line graph tracking sales per week. Every month, instead of building the sheet over, I just copy the last months sheet and enter the data for the current month. The problem is that the chart in the copied sheet still references the previous month and I must manually change the source data field in the chart to the current sheet. Thanks. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Before it was crashing but this problem was fixed in the newest version (I have the 2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3 right now) I was trying to export some document containing some formulas that I created with the Writter to some PDF file. The theme I had was 'Darklooks' at that time. After exporting. I noticed that the PDF has some display issues ( the formula were in light grey instead of black). Switching to the default 'human' theme fixed the problem...but that's not the theme I wanna use! :) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This file was a newly generated Word 97/2000/XP format. I don't know if the message I sent at the same time got through. Basically, this is a new installation of OO.o, with just the vanilla settings. There were no previous office products installed on this machine. I simply selected File-Save as... then selected Word 97/2000/XP and saved it. No special settings. I have sent similarly generated files to others who were also not able to open them in an appropriate version of Word. I doubt that it would have any bearing, but I installed OO.o on drive E: vice the more usual C:. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
