I worked both on XP and Ubuntu (New to Ubuntu),
Presently I am using the OOo 3.0 
I found in OOo calc
1. It is not allow to insert rows between merged cells (both XP & Ubuntu)
2. It is not allow to insert/Delete rows/columns one after one row/column
sequently (i.e. if we select by holding Ctrl key A,C,E,G/1,3,5,
respectively)
3. It is not allow to copy and paste cells as mentioned in the 2nd point.
4. When we copy the merged cells data to merged cells there is a message box
"inserting merged ranges is not possible". (in Ubuntu this is not occured)

As I indicated earlier, I do not think that it works to just provide the library
name to the SECMOD_LoadUserModule function. 

To test this you can do the following. 
-Create a clean Firefox 3 profile.
- Use MOZILLA_CERTIFICATE_FOLDER to point to that profile and start OOo
-Switch OOo to use OOo file dialogs in the options dialog
-Enter a https URL in the file dialog, for example: https://www.sun.com

If you build with "debug" then you will get output which tells if the root
module could be loaded.

I'm using BrOffice 3.1.1 RC (OOO310m19) In Windows XP SP3. I'm also using Java
1.6.16
I have an old database created in Microsoft Access 97. I used it with BrOffice
and it used to work there at least up to OOo 3.0.
Now I can't update that database any more. It says "Error when inserting a new
register"
Step by step:
Open the attached database.
Click in "Tables" and in the table "DVDs"
Go to the last line and include the number "92" in the column "Número" and
include a new artist. Click the "Save" button and the error appears.

I don't know if it has something to do with this mistake but if you are in the
option "Tables", right click in the table "DVDs" and choose EDIT, you will see
that the field "Eastern Eggs" has the type "SQL Null" which I haven't put there.
I don't know how it got there. When I created the Database it was of the "Text"
type. I tried to change it back to "Text" but there is no way to do it.

Create a new table.
Put some info in the table.
Go to the option "Report" ("Relatório" in BrOffice).
Try clicking in the option "Crate a report in editor" nothing happens.

I get this error message "Error 1304.  Error writing to file 
C:\ProgramDate\Microsoft\Windows\Templates|soffice.odg.  Verify that you have

that just adds those flags, despite the compiler flags are already specified in

ccache generally ignores any compiles that use an option like -x, resulting in
not caching the result, needing to recompile it every time.

-x is used for objective-c++ files on Mac OSX (-x objective-c++). 
using --ccache-skip tells ccache to ignore the flag, to just pass to the
compiler and allowing it to cache the result.

So configure needs to check whether ccache is used, and set an environment
variable accordingly that can in turn be used in makefiles

When building OOo on Mac OS X 10.5, the builds generated are incompatible with
Mac OS X 10.4, due to structural differences in the libraries/functions that are
available like for example

Special attention for QA must be in verifying the external components, since not

The problem refers to a file that I uploaded to 
http://www.newportcargo.com.ar/claim/15153.rtf. 

When I open the file with MS-Word it is OK, but with O.O.Writer it looks very 
bad.

If I open the file with MS-Word and convert it to the native MS-Word .doc file 
and save it, when I open this .doc file with O.O.Writer it looks OK.

Can you tell me if I have to do something to fix it? Or, is it a Writer issue?

Not exactly. I recieved an error when i copy a whole slide into a clipboard
through a gui menu (right mouse button - copy ), then i paste a slide from a
clipboard (RMB - paste). Thus i got two slides. All went fine at this moment.
Later i once again copy first slide or another one and then error appears. And
as i mentioned before i have not got any error id when i tried an original OOo
such as ubuntu builds.

I've reported problems with this before, I have to say it's gotten much better
but there are still some problems. I am also willing to help on this project but
I'll need some guidance as it's new. So if whoever is working on it wants me to
help out let me know and we can get in touch, I really want to get this language
functioning flawlessly in Open Office.

System:
Ubuntu 9.04
OpenOffice 3.1.0
Language: Telugu

Complex script not rendering right (does render perfectly in Text Editor.
Examples done in Presentation. Examples:

1. When actually typing the image looks weird but once you get out of text box
it corrects itself. See Image 1 and 2, image 1 shows as typing, image 2 shows
after I click off of the text box.
Keystroke: k + e

2. Sometimes characters get too scrunched up but then when you change text size
they get fixed. See image 3 and 4
Keystroke: kvb with text size originally 44 then changed to 36

3. Some letters will show up smaller for no reason while typing. See image 5 
and 6.
Image 5: size 44, keystroke: v
Image 6: size 44, keystroke: k

4. Some characters are just wrong. See image 7. The curved hook on the top left
should be a check mark.
keystroke: m+d+l

5. Sometimes letters just randomly start being small and incorrect, see image 8 
& 9
Image 8: keystroke k, small + missing upper check mark
image 9: keystroke u+k, completely correct, k should turn out just like the
second character in this image

Thanks for the hard work, sorry for being picky but these problems make the
language hard to use in open office (and it is the 14th most used language on
the planet :) )

I met problems for exporting as pdf after OOo 3.00m15 (build9379), and it is
still unfixed on OOo3.11RC2.
Try to highlight this issue and seek for your attention for solving this.

Problem description-
Impress presentation background appears some stripes while exported as pdf by
Impress later than build9379.
Image in master slide will change shape while export to pdf format by using this
function at Impress later than build9379.

Computer: Intel Pentium D CPU 3.40 GHz, 1.96 Gb of RAM
OpenOffice 3.1

Program crashes when opening master documents. First seen when opening master
documents created in 2.x, then in master documents created in 3.x. Master
documents created in 3.x will open normally for a while, but after a few days
will exhibit the same behavior: crashing on open. OO "recovers" the file but
only opens a blank new .odt document. Reinstallation of 00 3.x does not solve
the problem. After repeated crashes when attempting to open master documents,
OpenOffice freezes altogether and will no longer boot even after system is
restarted.

one foils using this macro for a programme.

WIth version 3.0 if i made a graphics tha the cell contain a #ND cell it is not
considere, but with the version 3.1 it is cosidere like 0! before it work also
in the excell but now also the conversion in XLS have a same bug.
It use the value #ND for made a variable graphics so i don't need to made a new
graphic every time, but now with the 3.1 i can't do this.

I checked with "Ooo 3.1.0 WIN XP multilingual version German UI activated 
[OOO310m11 (Build 9399)]" and can confirm the reported effect - or at least
something similar. 

1. I rename a document to "mygalle#rytest.odt" in WIN Explorer
2. open with double click from WIN Explorer
3. Modify contents
4. Menu 'File -> Save' (OOo dialogs)
   Works fine
5. Modify contents
6. Menu 'File -> Save as'
7. Change name to "mygalle#rytest1.odt"
8. Press 'Save' button
   Expected: should be saved
   Actual: Error Message "Error Saving the document "mygalle#rytest: 
   Nonexistent object. Path to the file does not exist"
Works fine with OS file dialog.

When I use the manual and auto 'check update' feature it shows the error 
message 'Checking for an update failed'. I was connected to the internet when I 
did this and had checked my Zonealarm firewall to see that the OO module was

Yes, it's true for Simplified Arabic and Tradional Arabic, version 5.0 (version
packaged with Windows Vista), everything look fine. But not with version 5.92 of
these fonts (version of Windows 7, but tested on Windows Vista).

Times New Roman 5.01 (version 5.0.1, version packaged with Windows Vista) is
already affected by this issue.

Adobe Arabic is included in a free addon to Adobe Reader. Download and install
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.0/misc/FontPack90_Xtd_Lang.msi

The font is installed in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Resource\Font\

I will test on Mac OS X soon.

Note that a download of OOo is >100MB, and thus when on dialup can take quite a
while. As often magazines have CDs with a selection of free software, you might
have a good chance finding OOo on one of those.

The test for being encrypted is done *after* the .pps has been attempted to 
open. 
The stack is from a "new" throwing and is because the import of the encrypted
effectively garbage happens to make the importer think there are some records
which trigger massive memory allocations.

My opinion is that "Discard" have to be translated in "Abbandona". If we use
"Esci" we reproduce the reason this issue has been started. Esci is ambiguous
and is not clear that the file will be not saved.
But the question is "Do you want to save the changes?" so the answer should
really be "Yes" "No" and "Cancel", translated in "Sì", "No", "Annulla".
So I suggest to change the English answers as first sanity goal (this way user
have to thing twice... reading the question and trying to "map" the given
answers into a "yes/no/go back" actions). If not possible, I suggest "Abbandona"

maybe I was unclear. I'm aware that this is targeted for 3.2

As Mac/PPC is not built by Sun anyway, and this issue is strictly related to
Mac/PPC and nothing else, I don't think it is justified to delay the release of
other operating systems.

With "respin of OOo 3.1.1rc2" I meant use the 3.1.1rc2 sources and "manually"
apply the patch, even when not in the official 3.1.1 sources.

Qatrack shows that only ja an fr teams did work on QA for Mac/PPC cc-ing them.

@iha: the problem here is a typical problem. Desc4 in issue 88539 or Desc12 in 
issue 51508 have good details:
You layout the text for 100%, then request it to be displayed at a different 
zoom level with "I want each glyph 
positions to be as close as possible to its position in to 100% layout!". Since 
fonts scale non-linearly on most 
systems this wish is not compatible with "I want the text to look as natural as 
if it was layouted for this particular 
zoom level".

Understanding these options is the first step. Then decide what you really 
want. Maybe it is "I want the text to 
look as natural as if it was layouted for that magnification level" and "I do 
not want the text to reflow when the 
magnification level changes". This means that you would want to layout at 100%, 
measure the line breaks there 
and apply them for the different zoom level but with the glyphs at their 
visually-optimal positions instead of their 
as-close-as-possible to their 100%-layout positions. This would lead to 
different problems when the resulting text 
in a different zoom level runs e.g. into your clipped regions.

I had a deeper look but even trying to reproduce the problem was futile.

(e.g. "helvetica" -> "sans-
