On computer start up, OO applications will work one or two times but after a 
period of computer inactivity OO applications will not start. A reboot is 
required to get the applications to run, but then the situation repeats.  Calc 
and Writer are the two applications used frequently.  This behaviour did not 
occur with previous versions of Open Office.

The following fails in Calc:
1. Show the drawing toolbar.
2. Draw (for example)a rectangle.
3. Create a hyperlink while the rectangle is selected.
4. Try to follow the hyperlink by clicking on the rectangle. This does not work.

This problem was found in version  3.2.0 on Windows Vista. 
This problem is not seen in version 3.1 on Linux.
Creating a hyperlink to a rectangle is not possible (both in version  3.2.0 on 
Windows Vista and in version 3.1 on Linux) using Draw or Writer. I do not know 
if this is also a bug or just different behaviour.

Reproduction:
1. Create a presentation with 30-40 slides (they can be empty, but it is useful
to add a slide number)
2. Click in the first slide in the slide pane (the slide pane is on the left 
side).
3. Keep the button page-down pressed on your keyboard. After a short time you
are on the last slide (everything is correct).
4. Now go back to the first slide (select it again in the slide pane on the left
side).
5. Click on the slide (in the middle normal view, not in the slide pane)-
6. Keep the button page-down pressed on your keyboard.

Wrong behaviour: After a short time you are on the last slide but the slide pane
stucks. When you now press Page-Up the normal view changes the slide but the
slide pane is still stuck. It will start again to move when you press page-up so
often, that you reach a slide which is visible in the slide pane.

This behaviour does not only occur when page-down is pressed for a long time but
sometimes also if it is pressed very fast.

I have been sent an ods document created by excel 7 and do get
msoxl:=MONTH(B2) instead of =MONTH(B2) and other alike entries when opening
it. There is no troublesome fancy reference stuff, just pure simple cell 
references.

There are 2 issues described in the bug report.

1) a simple move row/column operation. This can be accomplished by the Alt key
as described in comment 3. But nobody knows about that, a menu option would
still be nice.

2) the bug about shifting option offered in the Paste special dialog. That bug
is valid in OOo 3.2, I can confirm that. Notice, that when you COPY rows, both
options (shift Down or Left) are offered. But when CUTing rows, only shift Left
is offered in the dialog. In both cases only shifting Down makes sense. That is
the bug, so please reopen and update the summary if you only wish to follow this
problem.

Sorry for not getting back to this quickly. 

Initial description (Sat Jan 30 22:46:00 + 2010):
When entering a new formula, the application does not grab cells from other 
tabs. Though, it converts cell references correctly across tabs from a MS Exel 
import.

Attached are copies of the spreadsheet and step by step screen captures.

It works if I first click in the formula window first after the = sign.

Did I do some thing wrong? or is this a bug?

Hmmm, I am surprised that this bug was not marked as showstopper for OOo 3.2.
It is a regression so I think it should be fixed for OOo 3.2.1.

In PDF export dialog the entry field Pages is in disabled state by default,
but it is not visible (e.g. should be greyed). It is confusing, because when I

What chart is created, there is no way to resize agenda window (only move it)
which causes ugly text wrapping in case when graph labels are long. The width of
this window changes with the width of the chart (e.g. relative to width of the
chart), but there should be a possibility to define the initial size.

Steps to reproduce:
1. In the spreadsheet merge two cells in a row.
2. For the merges cell enter the multi-line text.
3. Select two columns and optimize column width by double-clicking on column
header delimiter (see attachment).

Result: column widths are shrink so, that the text is not visible.

Hi there,
I found one of the most annoying issues in Base. Like Ms Access it has the same
defect (or is it ? - I have some doubts !!). When an identity or auto number
field is created then the issue crops up. When you delete record no. 5 in an
identity or auto number field, the previous number becomes 4 and the next number
becomes 6 instead of 5. Ms Access is very bad regarding this. Can any thing be
done in BASE to get rid of the defect ? I do understand that the physical
existence of the record is still there somewhere and that makes 6 to appear
instead of 5. Can any thing be done to rectify this ? if so, it would be great 
!!

Using the search  change option to remove empty paragraphs in a document 
(i.e., in 
a single step mode - I haven't tried in the change all mode) not only the 
formatting of paragrphs is removed but also pictures that are surrounded by

@pl: It seems like there wasn't a big discussion in issue 84825. I don't know
what happened behind the scenes, but I'd say anscgn's arguments are quite well
founded. You say people complained about the old behavior. Who did? Is there a
message board archive or something you could link to? I think there should be a
discussion about this again. 

I interpret issue 84825 as ssa saying minimum should be something like 3
lines. I could live with that, but 1 line is just painful. I would definitely
argue this is a defect, whether intentional or not. The OS default value for
scrolling should be obeyed, in my opinion, and obviously in most other software
deveolpers'.

I selected the text were it says Normativa aplicable, till the end of the page.
Then I copy pasted it into a writer odt document (version open office 2.4, I run
linux Ubuntu). The document crashed later when i tried to erase the links with

This is a bad locale data file, apparently it is an English locale data file
with just the currency replaced, separators, format codes and calendar day and
month names are in English. Furthermore, the ReservedWords elements are broken,
they contain all the word True followed by a tab instead of the translated words
and abbreviations.

Sorry, we can't use this, please someone with Urdu_Pakistan knowledge, add the
missing parts.

After editing a table in Impress and setting the border style (referred to as
the line style in the “Format Cells” dialog), trying to set it back to “None”
from the table formatting toolbar does not work.

Steps to Reproduce:

1) Create a new empty presentation in Impress.
2) From the “Insert” menu, choose “Table…”.
3) Click “OK” to accept the default number of rows and columns.
4) Using the “Borders” popup (on the top row of the table toolbar to the left of
the color dropdown list), select the border that includes all internal and
external edges (the last option in the bottom right of the popup). The first
cell of the table should have a thin black border.
5) From the “Border Style” popup, click “None”. The border on the cell should
disappear, but instead it remains visible.
6) From the “Border Style” popup, click on any border style except “None”. The
border will change, as expected.

It is possible to set the border style back to “None” using the “Format Cells”
dialog, as described below.

1) Open the “Format Cells” dialog by clicking properties button in the table
formatting toolbar (bottom row, leftmost button).
2) On the “Borders” tab, select “None” in the line style selection list, then
click OK. Note that this seems to set the actual border to none as well as the
border style.
3) Attempt to set the border style to something besides “None” from the table
formatting toolbar. It will have no effect until the number of border lines is
again set.

This behavior is consistent on single cells, selected groups of cells, and on
the whole table. It is most easily seen with the steps described above, but any
type of border will cause it to occur.

Hello,

Just tested with OOo 3.3.0(buid 9478) and the issue seems to be exist.

Here's how to reproduce:

1.  Open Impress with a new or existing presentation.
2.  From the Insert menu, select Table.
3.  Add any number of rows and columns  to the table.
4.  Select any cell and  chose border option beside color, in this select
the option with six lines highlighted(for example) and then select the line
color of the border with any color and now select line style and chose a big
thickness(5pt for example) for more clarity.
5.  Chose  that cell and now right click on it   and go to cell and  chose split
option and split them horizontally or vertically.   

Effect observed: Sometimes the border is shared between the two cells.Sometimes
it is not. Inconsistency of Border sharing when I do splitting of cells.  

System Configuration 

Windows Vista, 4GB Ram , Intel Processor 2.40Ghz

Open Office 3.3.0(DEV300_m70,build 9478)

Just tested with OOo 3.3.0(buid 9478) and the issue seems to be exist.

5.  Instead of adding table in the Normal menu , select Notes tab and

Setting of left spacing of contents would be changed back if select other cells.

Configuration:
Windows 7 language version:Chinese
OpenOffice: 3.11 version:English

steps:
(1)create a new blank presentation
(2)click Insert- Table- OK. Input some character in one cell such as aaa.
(3)Click Table Properties button which is the the lower-right of the table tool 
bar.
(4)Click Borders and change value in Left of Spacing of Contents.(for example, 
input 1.25cm in the left spacing of contents) and click OK
(5)The left spacing of contents is changed to 1.25cm
(6)click or select other one cell.

expectation: The previous cell will keep the previous setting of left spacing 
of contents.

Obtained result: The spacing of contents in the previous cell change to 
original setting and can't input anything in the previous cell.

Configuration used:
Windows Vista 
Pentium (R) Dual Core CPU
4 GB RAM, 64 bit operating system

Open office :3.3.0,  Dev 300m70 , Build 9478

When I split a cell, and then insert a row anywhere in the table , the new 
inserted row consists of split cell in that particular column.

Steps to replicate the bug:

1)  Create new presentation --Insert table 5 X 4
2)  Select any cell -- Right click and select cell -- Click Split.
3)  Split cell into 2 and select Direction as ‘Vertical’.
4)  Select any cell in a table and right click, select RowInsert a row(s).

Result: Inserted rows will have that particular column of split cells in the 
inserted rows.

Image is attached.

I feel that this is important to all users since it is very common among 
different kind of users that we split cells and then insert rows.

I also tested this same procedure in Microsoft PowerPoint and didn’t find the 
same result.

If you increase the font size of an existing table to very large value like 400 
or 500 it gets accepted and the text goes beyond the table.

Steps to replicate
 Open Impress
 Create a new slide
 Insert a table with 2 column and 1 rows 
 Enter text AA (typeface Arial font size 18) in the two cells
 right click the table border and go to table properties
 in font tab put font size to 500

The text goes beyond the table as you can see in the screen shot.

Same thing can be seen when i split a cell horizontally and insert a column 
anywhere in the table.
Inserted column(s) will contain similar split horizontal cells.
