My issue is that the zoom is way too sensitive. Currently, when I use other programs, for example Firefox, I have to spread my fingers maybe 1/2" (roughly 150-200 pixels) to zoom in one step. Conversely, in OpenOffice, about one pixel's worth of mouse movement zooms in one step. It is very difficult to move two fingers apart at the same time by one pixel, and actually I have to just roll my fingers by a hair's breadth. I was making some tests on this problem, and get confused about what is getting exported to "content.xml" when using "smb://host/..." links: First, using "file:///..." external links only a copy of the referenced cells for the referenced sheet is saved on a hidden table that has a name equal to the absolute reference for that sheet. Things works as expected and you can update the referenced data. When using "smb://host/..." external links, values are lost after re-opening the file. All cells with SMB external references show a #NAME? error. When updating, a backup copy of the full referenced sheet get saved as a hidden table. They get names like: "Table", "Table2", ... and so on each time you update the references. And updating doesn't solve the #NAME? errors. You should edit the content using F2, making some movement using the cursor keys and pressing ENTER for the correct value to be visible again. When you have manually edited each cell with external references for the values to show up again, and after saving, you get two tables with the same name (the absolute URI of the referenced sheet) which I pressume should be invalid on that context. One of them has a full copy of the sheet, and the other one only has the referenced cells. I'm using relative links for saving. I have not tested this with absolute references. If the page formatting constrains the size of a graphic, say it is too tall for the page at the native size, even if "keep ratio" is checked, the image aspect ratio is distorted before the "picture" dialog box can be open. The original aspect ratio is lost and cannot be recovered except by going back to the source and resizing it. The "shift" key trick doesn't help because the damage has already taken place. As another user noted, I did not notice the distortion until I printed the file, and lost a lot of time recovering from it. Observed abnormal results when using
CreateUNOService("com.sun.star.sdb.ResultSet") with
.CommandType=com.sun.star.sdb.CommandType.COMMAND
and a SQL sentence that uses aliases for table names.
The ResultSet returns the data from the first row, regardless of the actual row
pointed.
I'm going to attach a sample file, for explanation will be long and maybe
confusing.
1. Open attached file (enable macros)
2. Run macro "Main" in module "Module1" of library "[ResultSetBug].Standard"
(Menu/Tools/Macros/Run Macro...)
The macro creates a "com.sun.star.sdb.ResultSet" based on one table, then goes
through all three records and displays its content.
It does this with two different SQL sentences:
Sentence A: "SELECT ""ID"",""Text"" FROM ""Table"""
Sentence B: "SELECT T1.""ID"",T1.""Text"" FROM ""Table"" AS T1"
As you can see, they are the same, except B uses an alias for the table name.
Note that both of them work properly on OOo3.2.x. They should do as well under
3.3, but the fact is that Sentence B causes the recordset
to return the data corresponding to the first row, no matter what is the actual
current row (run the macro for details).
I don't know what the cause of the problem may be, but noticed that this
malfunction ended when I replaced all aliases with
explicit table names in my own Base files.

I have a base document with forms, using an Oracle Datasource.
One of the forms consists of a mainform, a subform (and a subsubform). The
subform is linked to the mainform using master/slave field set in the properties
of the subform. Normally this means the subform will only display records which
belong to the selected record in the mainform. (There is a one to many relation
between the record in the mainform and that in the subform.)
However: on the subform I use a filter: when this is a one condition filter or a
multiple condition filter with an AND operator, the master/slave behaviour works
as expected. However if I link the filter conditions with an OR operator, the
subform displays all the records which conform to the filter, instead of just
the records belonging to the selected mainform record.
Step by step:
1. Create a database with two tables with a one to many relationship (preferably
an Oracle database). The "many" table should contain at least 3 fields.
2. Create a form with a subform using the wizard, both are table style forms.
The mainform is for the table on the "one" side of the relationship, the subform
for the table on the "many" side.
3. In the subform properties, set the linked fields in both tables as the master
and slave fields, using the [...] button.
4. In the subform properties, define two filter conditions using the [...]
button. Use two different fields, neither of them should be slave field. Combine
the two conditions using OR.
5. Create a few records in the main table, with different values for the master
field (which is the primary key in my case). And create a couple of records in
the second table for each record in the main table. Make sure you have records
which comply to the filter conditions for each record in the main table.
6. Load the form. The subform will show all record which comply to the filter,
no matter which record is selected in the mainform.
7. Edit the subform filter, replace OR with AND.
8. Load the form. The subform will now show only the records which belong to the
selected mainform record (and comply to the filter).
I hope this is clear enough. If not ask me for clarification. I'm using filters
of the type "null" by the way. But another type of filter ("not null" or ">" for
example) produces the same error.
