Version: 3.2.0.9 - OOO320m12 (Build:9483) Packages: openoffice.org-3.2-4.1mdv2010.1 Language: English I noticed there's been some discussion of this (same/similar/related?) issue on the Debian bug tracker today: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=601078 This comment by Charles Plessy looks like a particularly promising nugget: --QUOTE-- Of course, as René noted, the key difference is probably that 3.2.1-7ubuntu1 depends on libicu42 and 3.2.1-9 depends on libicu44. I investigated the differences between the versions 4.2 and 4.4 of icu, in particular in the directory “source/data/unidata/”. Support for parenthesis seem to have changed while switching from Unicode 5.1 to 5.2. In particluar, the right parenthesis and right square bracket, but not the right curly bracket have been moved from a ‘Close_Punctuation’ (CL) to a ‘Close_Parenthesis’ (CP) category. This completely fits with the symptoms that were also reported to the openoffice bug tracker (http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=112240). Do you this is enough to reassign this bug to the libicu44 package ? -- END QUOTE -- Note that Charles links back to here. My own ICU package is: libicu44-4.4-2mdv2010.1 Anyway, hope this might help, and this bug gets my vote. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Using the Insert/ Special Character function of OO, I scrolled through all of the characters in the Formata Bold font and found "fi" under the subset described as "Alphabetic Presentation forms". The character address of "fi" was listed as "U+FB01" in the window for inserting special characters. The actual trademark symbol has a character address of "U+00AE (174)", according to that window. Very basic structure, one table with all the info. (unique ID = Order Number, etc.), One Form to enter the info and also search by OrderNumber. I updated yesterday to the latest version, rev. 000320m18, and since doing so there are now multiple entries in the table that are exact duplicates of each other, up to 4 entries that are exactly the same. Also, the table is missing some lines of data as well as. The search utility is also having issues as I am not able to find some entries that I know are there. Searching by the UniqueID (OrderNumber) was usually how it was done and it worked but now not at all. At first, I thought the database was corrupted but I, also, use this database via OpenOffice Writer to print out envelopes in a Mail Merge. When querying the database through Writer, the information shows up correctly as entered. Any info on how to resolve? The program instantly converts these entries to dates, e.g. "8/10/10". I go back and check the Format/Cell dialog box, and it has reverted to the default "Number." So apparently the program is doing 2 things wrong: not saving the changed formatting, and automatically converting numbers in that format to dates with noplace to turn off that conversion. Problem: Calc sets the language of some paragraphs to English. The text of these cells was (most probably) copied from a writer document (where the language is also German). It is possible to set the language back to German with 1) selecting the text _in_ the cell 2) calling Format -> Character -> Font -> Language But one has to repeat this for every cell where calc wrongly switch language. This is a tedious procedure for more than just a few cells. There seams to be no way to set the language for all paragraphs in a document. I tried the follwoing procedures (which do _not_ work): 1) setting the language for the current document in Extras -> Options -> Language 2) selecting all cells Format -> Cells -> Font -> Language - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Now I see when a bug sits out there for the past 5 years it looses attention. The Stretch works, it just doesn't get saved when a doc is saved. This can lead to some odd drawing like in http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/75177/Image280.zoom.png ( see the last messages at the end of issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=115096 ). Therefore, just a small proposition which first checks what is the longest vector and according to the result modifies the previous control point or the next control point. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 115915] Huge page when changing p aper orientation in A6-size paper

You need first to set up the new size, and click OK. Than you go back to Format-Page and change the orientation. And BUM, you have a new huge page. This only happens with exactly that values (10,5cm x 14,8cm / 4.13" x 5.83"). I found this problem over Linux SUSE and Windows XP, with Ooo 3.2.1 in English and also German, with Inches and also cm as Measurement unit. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
