One error that is returned by Avera is for a long path/name where it is generically gnu/123 with a recurring /123. Looking at the log file, it seems to be present in a cab file in the installaion files placed on my desktop as well as in python-core-2.6.1\lib\test\testtar.tar fle in the the actual installaiton. The latter suggests that there may be some test tar file that was not cleaned up in a libruary path of python core. Although the version I detectect it in is OOO320m18, it might also have been present in previous versions of the installation too. The defect is seemingly not affecting OOO Functionality but does seem to highlight a missing clean up of test code that causes the anti virus program to warn. I can not reproduce this bug on 32-bit linux biulds of OOo (tested on Slackware-
13.1, Fedora-14, Ubuntu-10.04).
So, OS field has been changed to Windows.
I can not agree that the problem is OS, not the OOo build for Windows.
The Linux Programmers Guide says that the rand() function returns a pseudo-
random integer in the range [0, RAND_MAX]. MSDN has similar description.
Current OOo Basic RND implementation doesn't contain any differences for

All of the sudden ooO crashed with an accompanying death tone from XP, and a dialog informing me of the issue. But I didn't read the dialog because, as I pointed out earlier, this type of crash happens frequently. ooO always graciously recovers, so I don't think twice about it, and tend to ignore the dialog and just get the document recovered quickly. To remind you, it claimed this time through to have recovered the document. When it opened it at the end of the recovery, the document was empty-- to forms or tables. It popped up a message stating it could not make contact with the db. I just assumed if I shut it down and reopened it the problem would be fixed. In fact, I always do this on a ooO document recovery as I have had problems with flakiness if I don't. The problem concerns all Slavonic languages except Bulgarian and Macedonian
(where declination is reduced). Among them are languages: Belarusian, Czech,
Polish, Pomeranian/Kashubian, Russian, Rusyn, Slovak, Slovene, Serbo-Croatian
(Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian, Montenegrin), Silesian, Upper and Lower Sorbian and
Ukrainian. But not only in Slavonic, other languages using noun declinations are
injured too.
There is no problem to prepare the list of nominative and genitive forms of
month names in the given above languages. The matter is to improve the mechanism
in OO applications and make them put the month names in the proper form.
I have to repeat with stress: it's a pity that the problem had not been solved
yet! If I could help someone to fix it (I am not a programmist but I know a few
languages), please write here.
