[sw-issues] [Issue 57466] Cut and Paste Error
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=57466 --- Additional comments from ahmedimt...@openoffice.org Tue Mar 31 07:45:52 + 2009 --- I have confirmed this bug still occurs. I am running open office 2.4.1 on Windows 7 Beta. I tried the example attached and it occurs, but slightly differently as shivjin mentioned, the bug occurs before cutting, meaning when the graphics are all selected and then cut, the last graphic remains, so it is never cut. I also tried making two of my own files to confirm this. The first one, called “my random graphics test.odt” does not cut or paste the first graphic. That one I think can be explain by where the cursor can be located on the document. If you try to place the selection cursor above the image, it does not allow you to do so, and in turn, does not cut the first image. However, in the other file I am attaching called “my random graphics test 2.odt”, I purposely place the first graphic below the selection cursor, and when you cut the image, the last one is not cut or pasted this time. However, this image is placed below the furthest point the selection cursor can go, therefore does not cut that picture either. After doing this, experimenting with the placement of the images relative to the selection cursor, I went back to the original file posted by vogella. I noticed the selection cursor is exactly one line below the last image. So I tried adding a few more lines by way of the enter key, and it cuts the last image and also pastes it. I tried going back to the two files I made, and placing the cursor just one line below the image, and once again, it will not cut the image or paste it. So there is a work around I think, however there is still some errors in regards to where the selection cursor and the images are placed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 93093] numbering problem
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93093 --- Additional comments from ahmedimt...@openoffice.org Tue Mar 31 11:14:12 + 2009 --- I have confirmed this bug occurs on open office 2.4.1 under Windows 7 Beta. The file the original poster attached confirms this. I also made a few other tests to make sure it persists in other situations. The first file has a list similar to the original file. I made another one, only difference is bullet two has more than one entry, yet the bug still persists when you paste the contents of list 1 in there, and an unwanted bullet for 3 appears in a similar spot. This unwanted bullet appears no matter where you paste the list to These tests so far have only covered copying lists from bullet 1 to other bullets, which always seems to cause a problem. When trying to make a list from bullet 2 and onward, it appears that depending on how you format the list determines if the bug appears, and if it does, it’s not nearly as severe. For lists copied from bullets other than 1, it seems to have a slightly different effect, which makes this bug a little unpredictable I find. Depending how you create the bullets seems to have an effect if there is a misplaced or unwanted numbered bullet in the resulting list. It seems if you use manual line breaks (shift+enter), then there is no error when copying and pasting one of the lists. However, if you let open office format the bullets for you (pressing enter and then backspace to remove the new bullet), then this is where it seems the problem arises. When making a list with this method, the unwanted bullet only appears on the last entry of the copied list. The number of entries in the list does not seem to affect whether this bug occurs or not. However, based on my tests, a work around to this would seem to be using manual line breaks to create the entries in the list to avoid this problem if your list is being copied from anything below bullet 1. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 93069] open - files by type - dro p down box is broken
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93069 --- Additional comments from ahmedimt...@openoffice.org Tue Mar 31 11:10:24 + 2009 --- I confirmed this bug occurs on open office 2.4.1 under Windows 7 Beta. If you click and hold the popup dialogue, it stays, but is clearly not working as intended. To double check that this isn’t something they intended, I tried opening the file type drop down menu under the save as dialogue, and it would stay even after just clicking it. It tried running this on Linux as well, and the bug did not occur there. I can’t think of many other ways to really test this, but I tried using the open dialogues in each of the sub programs in open office. That would include impress, calc, draw, base and math, and they all displayed the same symptoms of the bug. They all probably run of the same open dialogue as all appear to be the same, and display the exact same symptoms. Lastly I tried looking for other drop down menus within open office, mainly in writer, as mentioned before, the save as dialogue, the font size, and the font style and under the export menu, but none of them displayed this behaviour, probably because they use dialogues other than the open one. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 94630] Table Autoformats do not s ave properly
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=94630 --- Additional comments from ahmedimt...@openoffice.org Tue Mar 31 11:08:26 + 2009 --- I have confirmed this bug as well on open office 2.4.1 using Windows 7 Beta. The example posted by the original poster exposes this bug. I tried creating a random table on my own with different border spacing, and it still persists. However, I think it has something to do with the synchronize option under the spacing the contents window in the borders tab. I made a table with everything else set as the default settings and then for the spacing to contents, unchecked synchronize and put random custom values. I added a new configuration for the autoformat, and reloaded it onto another table, and the values were all the same, and the synchronize box was checked. This I believe is the culprit. Synchronize keeps re-enabling whenever a new instance of open office is created and possibly setting all the values to be equal. If you run it in the same window you create, the same bug occurs, but synchronize is not checked, so this is peculiar behaviour, but that’s the only think I can draw from my observations. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
