Component:|framework Version:|OOo 2.0.2 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|NEW Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|ui Assigned to:|tm Reported by:|computerdork --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 17 14:39:49 -0800 2006 --- Dear OOo Developers, OpenOffice is becoming quite a potent Office Suite, but there is one thing which holds its productivity back - Rendering Quality. Often lines outline boxes will disappear until you scroll down and back up, or sometimes only if you change the zoom, or curved lines with be extremely jagged (in ANY type of document). Is it possible that the entire display (including images, word-art and custom shapes) be anti-aliased? Perhaps this would also speed up Presentation animations, and almost definately would make them more attractive to look at. Kind Regards, Matthew NOTE: I would not be surprised if there is already an issue open for this, but I could not find one. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 7373] colorpicker resizing ; bu t for increasing "viewable area"
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=7373 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 17 14:12:48 -0800 2006 --- I have been supporting Bug #31884 for some time, and it has now been marked a duplicate of this bug. Just to ensure that this enhancement covers my request, here is what I have been seeking (which is v. similar to most others on this page): It is *difficult* to add new colours, esp. if you only want to use a colour once - instead of a simple dialogue like that opening from a button saying "New Colour" at the bottom of the drop down colour menus, or something like that, you have to go into Options -> Tools -> Colour -> Edit -> Save as a name -> Apply colour. It should be: Drop down colour menu (such as font color) -> New colour -> Apply (no need to specify a name), and then it should record the last 10 or so colours you have used (as well as standard palette). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Some of the people I have introduced to OpenOffice.org immediately notice the lack of colour selection - and express annoyance at the fact that they must enter Tools -> Options -> Colors in order to do what an MS Office or Abiword user would have done as a simple custom colour. *Please* add this functionality soon. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=49691 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 29 13:42:43 -0800 2006 --- IMHO it is not enough to be given specific layouts - users should be able to create and manage their own layouts, including themes. View -> Master -> Handouts no longer exists, so you CANNOT make your own theme. Why? I also agree with the users who have previously posted. The printing system SHOULD be more intuitive. If you are looking at the handouts, and you click print, THEY should print. If you are looking at the Notes, the same rule applies. I love the way OOo Impress is evolving, but it has a little way to go yet. Kind Regards, Matthew - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I think it is a necessity! People who are migrating to OOo from MS Office will find the changeover MUCH worse if they *CANNOT* choose the color they want, rather they have to wander around for ages trying to create a new color. Why can not it be like KColorChooser, or MS Office, or KOffice or *even* Abiword. OpenOffice is the only Office Suite that I know that is using a deprecated and hard to use colour select system! It should definately be updated BEFORE OOo 2.0. So PLEASE update it!!! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
