In Maths (in Europe) we learn that in a table first the number of rows is mentioned and then the number of columns. OOo does this the other way around. (Start writer and click on the button to make a new table and play a little bit graphically.) For people who haven't seen it yet, if you have the insert toolbar and the table button there is a little arrow in the icon, to go to the way I'm mentioning. You have to click the arrow. Just to be sure it would be a very good idea to mention the words rows and columns just behind or before the numbers. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. For example doing a color per date, so notes are visible per date. (handy for looking what's new) Another example let each user has it's own color profile (if more than one person wants to be green or want other users to have a certain color). Another example letting certain groups of users have the same color. Making groups of notes based on user-generated metadata about notes. Easily group notes on a number of other metadata than author and the ones that I've just mentioned. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. With Google Docs you can share files. And even edit them with multiple persons simultaneously. Now that is a very desired thing for students (we are always with two to make a report, see it comming folks)and also any other person who makes something in a group. It happends all the time. It would be incredible handy that: a shared file on a network or a file on a internet server can be edited by several users simultaneously (first someone has to make a file of course and that person will then be the administrator). This would be a huge time saver in education, science, business and government!!! (remember time is money) (There will also be needed security measures if you only want certain persons to come on the server on the internet or a network where a whole classroom is sitting on)A pasword that protects it from being written and that only persons that you give that pasword to can edit the file looks something good. Mayby there will be needed a system with accounts that log in or out but this is something the devs(developers) have to look at what suits them best. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. When I want to select the middle or left or right I have to figure out a way with the tab button on my keyboard. This sucks because it has let me wast a lot of time figuring it out and it isn't intuitive. I want to be able to just go over there with my mouse pointer and select it. And also with left and right button on my keyboard. I want to be able to change from one position to another. And when I align selected text to another position in the footnote, I don't want other text to come along with it. (For many users who don't know the right key. (buttons go away, become unclickable, the text field lines go away and so on) Please give it a better text with it like: (when it's grayed out) Automatically save as read-only/editable file. (when it's editable) Automatically save as editable file. (when it's read-only) Automatically save as red-only file. So because of the interface changing, everybody could think it has something to do with preview. (For saving to my usb-stick, I need to be able to let OOo choose a drive according to the name: The usb-stick is called PRINTME (G:) and the folder is G:\Printme\ For making OOo recognise the same usb-stick, it cannot do this by the drive letter (for example: L), but it can only recognise that same stick correctly by the drive name (for example USB PRINTME). Because when it is taken out of the computer and I connect something else and reconnect my printing usb-stick. The drive letter has changed, but not the name. So OOo wouldn't find the location it should save too. (Of course this will be a setting to choose from the drive name or letter) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
