[sw-issues] [Issue 7677] add keyboard shortcuts to t ooltips
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=7677 --- Additional comments from f...@openoffice.org Mon Jun 8 10:52:08 + 2009 --- Shortcuts are kept in the menues, the tooltip-help just explains the function. Yes. And this is the problem. I love working with keyboard shortcuts in software I use often. Makes me faster, especially in repetitive tasks. This request is to enhance the learning experience and do become a power user faster: By showing the keyboard shortcut in the tooltip, OOo guides the user to use the keyboard and makes that an enjoyable learning experience. Contrast that with the current state: you need to know where to look for the shortcut, and you need to not use the icon but the menu. So currently OOo trains you to just use the mouse and the icon and to not learn the shortcu please reopen and reconsider. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 64765] resize multiple objects si multaneously
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=64765 --- Additional comments from f...@openoffice.org Fri May 22 11:19:57 + 2009 --- I've looked at the thread here... http://markmail.org/search/?q=visual+feedbackq=list%3Aorg.openoffice.graphics.dev#query:visual%20feedback%20list%3Aorg.openoffice.graphics.dev+page:1+mid:jih4tiffipe5kibp+state:results Can you help me understand how the two topics visualize multi selection and give objects in a multi selection the same size are similar? There is two 'resize modes'. one of them is implemented: resize the whole group, adjusting relative positions (albeit that doesn't change the fonts inside the group, which kept me busy several times now) the other one is missing, and that's the one this issue is about: resize the objects in the group, keeping their position. This latter one would allow to give differently sized objects the same size, or to resize them relatively, keeping them where they are, which may well make sense in connected diagrams. I'd love to stand corrected but the valuable discussion about multi selection is unrelated to this request at hand. btw, the different resize mode could be visualized and activated like rotation, and in the 'position and size' dialogue it could be a selection (*) resize whole selection -- default ( ) resize individually tooltips: resize whole selection: resize the selection as a whole, adjusting the relative positions resize individually: apply new size to each selected object individually, maintaining the positions of each. Ah, and since I'm at the dialogue: an apply button in format dialogues which does changes without closing the dialogue would be *real* nifty, too... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Fact is, for me the autosave was not transactional, and somehow OOo decided to use a dated save (after reporting the bug I noticed that _some_ changes from the beginning of the session had survived the crash.) instead of the most recent one. Then OOo crashed and informed me that it would auto recover the documents I had been working on. The auto recovery however only brought me the very initial version of the document back. I have the fantasy that the crash tried to do a last auto save, which then was empty. either this overrode the last correct auto save or the auto recover did not handle this appropriately. In any case it seems to me that auto save and recover are not transactional.
