This worked fine in version 2.4.

The problem seems to be only when you select the entire page. I used a large (
22,000 rows ) data pilot by selecting only the involved range. The reult was
lightining fast.

THIS HAD BEEN FIXED BEFORE!

As of version 2.3 this had been fixed. My company has a system thet generates
Tab-separated files but names them .txt. I could right click on the link, tell
it to open in calc, and I would get the import dialog. To me this was a fix from
older verions that opened it in Writer even if I asked for Calc.

The problem REAPEARED in the beta for 3.0 ( build 9328 )

I use this a lot. I will probably not upgrade my users.

fst mentioned: "so you have to first select the file and than set the filter
type, not that complicated I think." It is more complicated than most of my
users are able to do.

   You must first open calc, select the file and then pull the rigt filter from
a drop sown list of over 60 items. You must alse remeber the order of the steps
( Ok: two steps ) but if you set the filter first and try to select the file
second it will not work.

   It is completely counterintuitive.

   I don´t know which anoys me most. Either the fact that I asociate the TSV
extension with CALC and OpenOffice will disregard my orders, or that the EASIEST
work around is to open it in Microsoft Excel.

[sc-issues] [Issue 72304] DataPilot : sorting by dat aField

   It would be nice to be able to sort both subtotal groups AND data pilot
grids. If I have a datasheet of sales and one column represent the customer, I
would like to be able to make either a subtoal group or a data pilot of sales by
customer, and then sort it to show the main customers first.

When I recieve an e-mail with an attachment of either .doc, .xls, .odt etc
and I attempt to open within outlook, ith gives tha above error. If I copy it to
the desk top or any folder double click it, it opens fine.

I have tested on dozens of files with the same reult, so it can´t be a
file-specific issue.

I have upgraded often ( probably 15 times ) since the first versions 1.9.x
and this is a recuring problem that sometimes is present, and sometimes works
fine. However the last 5 times or so it has never worked. Unfortunatly I din´t
keep a log of versions and which version work wnd which don´t, nor the exact
steps of installing each.

When I first install the program, the file asociations are not made, so I
made them manualy by right-clicking on files, selecting the application and
checking the "Allways use this program..." checkbox.

I opend WIN.INI and found the following lines:

scalc.exe="C:\Archivos de programa\OpenOffice.org 2.0\program\scalc.exe"
swriter.exe="C:\Archivos de programa\OpenOffice.org 2.0\program\swriter.exe"
simpress.exe="C:\Archivos de programa\OpenOffice.org
1.9.122\program\simpress.exe"
soffice.exe="C:\Archivos de programa\OpenOffice.org 2.0\program\soffice.exe"

I had not upgraded the file for impress files, so I changed the directory
manualy to 2.0. The result was the same: it opens fine from a directory or the
start menu but not from Outlook.

When you copy the format from on a split window, rows get selected one by one to
form a llarge block.

To reproduce the error:
  Load the bugdoc file.
  Select cell K1.
  Select the paintbrush tool.
  Select cell D1.
  Sit back and watch program go "bezerk".

[l10n-issues] [Issue 20833] ES--Change translation of "font" to "letra" instead of "fuente"

   As much as I hate to admit, Bill Gates has more clout on the development of
the Spanish Language than the "Real Academia de la Lengua" and the King of Sapin
put together. "Fuente" is the now widely accepted translation of "Font" despite
it's wrong liguistic roots.
