To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53989 Issue #:|53989 Summary:|shapes lose position when pasted Component:|Word processor Version:|OOO 2.0 Beta2 Platform:|PC URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|editing Assigned to:|mru Reported by:|jimdelilah --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 30 07:59:38 -0700 2005 --- I will attach a test document BadPasteTest.odt and some screenshots. Using the test case, BadPasteTest.odt, the _little ticks_ are not in the same position after the paste as they are in the orginal shape group. To reproduce the bug, use the sample text document, BadPasteTest.odt. 1) Click the blue shape at the bottom of the page to produce the arrow cursor (as apposed to the I beam). 2) Use the mouse to select the entire shape and all ticks. (Press and hold mouse button about 1/2 inch to the upper left of the shape, drag the mouse down past the sample shape to the lower right (about 1/2 inch past the shape). This will select the shape and all tick marks.) 3) copy the selection, (ctrl-c). 5) paste, (ctrl-v) 6) notice how the pasted shape is not like the orginal. The tick on the right sould be on the lower section of the shape. But after paste it is too high. bug 45952 did not fix this. bug 47455 did not fix this. This problem has occured since the fix of the above mentioned bugs and is present in build 1.9.119 thru 1.9.125=(2.0 beta 2). Previous builds had worse problems. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. First of all it some how fixed it's self. Well, not exactly but I cannot reproduce the bug. I loaded OOo-1.9.87. I was able to reproduce the bug (2nd page printing with a top margin about 1 inch too big). I used the same document and printed from OOo-1.1.3 and the top margin was perfect. So I tried some other tests. 1) printed to a file -- Passed 2) exported to a pdf -- Passed 3) printed to a taller page size (A4) -- Passed -- This one is strange because my printer was setup to print letter size paper, but the top margin was fine. 4) Installed a second printer, Printed the same document - Passed -- Ok now I'm begginning to wonder what's up. I found that I have two ppd files for my Photosmart printer. I unzipped them and copied one of them to /etc/cups/ppd/. Then I restarted cups and tried printing again. This time it worked. So I tried the other ppd. Same results, it worked. The only thing I am completly sure about is that at first using OOo-1.1.3 worked while OOo-1.9.xx did not. I am not sure of the significance of any of this but I am reporting this anyway. I believe that the orginal ppd file is the one that came with my distro, SuSE 9.2, while the other two ppd files were ones that came with the HP Manager software I downloaded from sourceforge. It appears that the SuSE ppd file is different and somehow only works with OOo-1.1.x Sorry for my rambling but I hope this helps someone. In the mean time I can say the bug is not reproducable. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
