If someone use the English version of Openoffice.org to create a document using
both the "Heading" and "Title" built-in styles, and I then open it in the
Swedish version of Openoffice.org the two styles will be merged into one style
named "Rubrik". "Rubrik" will only have the settings from "Title", not those
from "Heading", not even those "Title" inherits from "Heading", but all other
styles that normally inherits from "Heading" will inherit from "Rubrik", and
thus get completely wrong inherited settings.

[framework-issues] [Issue 63179] Integrate the flat XML fil ter as an optional component of OOo

I installed the Flat XML filter JAR from the above post, and tried to open a
pre-existing flat ODT I have, but no success. I'm using ooo-build 2.2.1 with
native KDE file picker.
First I just tried to open the file but, to no real surprise, OOo just opened it
as plain text.
Then I tried to select the filter in the open dialogue, but then OOo wouldn't
find my file. I soon figured out that the filter invented the file ending
".fodt" and mime type "application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.text" instead of using
the standard compliant ".xml" and "text/xml" (it's just "shuld", not "must", but
*I* still think you *should* follow the ODF spec, even where you don't "must").
After fixing these issues in "Tools" - "XML Filter Settings" the open dialogue
found the file with the "Flat ODF Text" filter selected, but when I opened it,
it would still only open as plain text, so still no joy. No idea where to go
from here to get it to work for me.

The above is a bug report on the flat XML filter JAR, but here follows a feature
request. I have no clue on how feasible is to implement this, but it seems the
"natural" way for the filter to behave to me:
What about a single import filter that uses office:mimetype to determine what
(sub)application to open, register this filter with "*.xml" and "text/xml", and
become the default behaviour for those files, with "Microsoft Word 2003 XML
(*.xml)", "Microsoft Excel 2003 XML (*.xml)" and "Text (*.txt)" as backups, in
case it isn't really a flat ODT file.

[sw-issues] [Issue 78049] Writer uses style:keep-tog ether="false" when the open document specifica tion uses fo:keep-together="always"

I'm working with a hand crafted open document text document and noticed that
when I gave a table row the fo:keep-together="always" attribute Writer wouldn't
honour the setting. Looking through the user interface I found the setting that
gave the expected result (unchecking "tillåt radbrytning i slutet av sidor och
kolumner", I'm using Swedish OO.o), and looking in the saved document I found
Writer had inserted a style:keep-together="false" attribute on the table row.
However, according to the specification there is no such attribute...
