Downloaded and installed OpenOffice 3.2.0 in both Leopard and Snow Leopard, but
the pyuno is still using python 2.3 (below).

Linda-Octalinas-MacBook-Pro:program lindaoctalina$ otool -L pyuno.so
pyuno.so:
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current
version 88.3.9)
/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/Python
(compatibility
version 2.3.0, current version 2.3.5)
/usr/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version
1.0.0)

Although we successfully built pyuno for Leopard (python 2.5) and Snow Leopard
(python 2.6), it will be nice if someone could include pyuno in the OpenOffice
installation package based on the python shipped with Mac. It's really painful
to build pyuno in Snow Leopard.

I am not sure if this is another issue related to:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98639

I attached the odt file that consists of a ~1 MB picture. The first image is
automatically scaled by OO, the second image is scaled by me.

I save as HTML, and get the correct image size in the html, however when I see
the image itself, it seems like the image is still in original size. Looks like
if I have a big image, I will have big image for the webversion as well?

When a hyperlink pointing to local file in the filesystem, OO generate a wrong
relative path.

The link in testing.odt is pointing to the file 1.gif in the same directory.
However the content.xml shows:
text:p text:style-name=p
text:a xlink:type=simple xlink:href=../1.giflink to file 1.gif/text:a
/text:p

Although the exported pdf and html links pointing to the correct 1.gif file,
shouldn't be the xlink:href contain the value of 1.gif instead of ../1.gif?

When a table created in openoffice and in table properties, if the alignment is
set as Manual and Relative option is checked, the Relative option will be
unchecked after the document is saved, closed and re-opened.

The relative option will be maintained when the alignmnet is set to Left, From

We are using Open Office 2.3 and wish to upgrade to Open Office 2.4 as it
provides more supports for Chinese characters.

We need a confirmation on this issue if it will be fixed since we can not use
automation in Open Office 2.4.

To let Open Office being access remotely:

soffice.exe -accept=socket,host=198.x.x.x,port=8001;urp;

and for the uno:
uno:socket,host=198.x.x.x,port=8001;urp;StarOffice.ComponentContext

Ubuntu:
local connection and remote connection are accepted by Openoffice

When running on window, it can accept connection remotely, but locally, the
error we get is: OpenOffice is not listening to port 8001.

It work with OOo 2.3, but after upgrade, this is the error we get. Testing is
done by using python and pyuno from 2.3 to replace 2.4. It works, so we think
that the error is in pyuno 2.4 window version.

When PDF is generated from pdf print driver e.g. Adobe, the Math Type object are
displayed correctly.

Refer: Issue 54636 (almost related but not quite)

When I have a document that contain of texts and en dash characters in
Helvetica (only) font, I cant get the en dash character in the pdf file after
I exported the document to PDF but the rest of the characters are displayed.

I try to compare different computer with the same version of Open Office
installed (V 2.3), some of the computer has Helvetica font (and the en dash
appear in the pdf file), some of the computer has only Helvetica-Narrow and some
of them dont have both.

How to include Helvetica font to pdf so en dash will be displayed?

When image with hyperlink (only) being converted from word to writer, the image
in writer will have hyperlink on the image.

When the image with caption and both image and caption have hyperlink applied to
it, only the caption has hyperlink in writer. *image does not have hyperlink.
