[context="user"] caught unexpected exception! --- OK --- this error is displayed after the Oracle/OOO splash appears, around when you'd expect the first progress bar step. In case it matters, this machine has a roaming profile with %APPDATA% redirected to a Windows 2008 server, with the path: \\servername\sharename\appdata\username\AppData\Roaming Redirection is configured using Group Policy features as standard on Windows systems. This is a common configuration on business machines. I have not yet tested to see if I can reproduce the failure without folder redirection, as I don't have an un-redirected Windows XP machine to test with at present. I'll attach a Process Monitor log showing the event trace from oo.o startup. For those not familiar with it, Process Monitor from Microsoft Sysinternals: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/default.aspx is kind of like strace for Windows with built-in filtering and analysis. The log may be informative. It ends when the fatal error dialog is displayed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 22561] Set heading of document as file name and title

While it might seem trivial, it's something users seem to find highly irritating and causes major resistance if OO.o replaces word for a user. There are some ugly macro workarounds, eg: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=20046 but they're far from smooth. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 5004] Printing Size wrong (A4->L etter)
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=5004 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 23 23:30:34 -0700 2005 --- I work in DTP, so I know where you're coming from. On the other hand, I'm also aware that much of the time, a 5% size change won't affect users in the slightest. It's not something that should be done silently, though, I agree. My real issue with all this is that it shouldn't be OO.o's problem. Really, the *printer* needs to be given the option of policy settings on this, such as "crop and print", "scale and print", "prompt", "reject job", etc. This issue will crop up most in OO.o though, due to how common the misconfiguration of Word is. As such, maybe it's worth considering - as an RFE - a few options in prefs for printing Letter (or A4, in Letter locales). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. OO.o 2 now honours LC_PAPER (hooray!). This bug is really different. My understanding is that it's about the fact that the if document setup is set to Letter, and you try to print on A4, OO.o generates a Letter job rather than scaling to fit A4. This is especially painful because many MS Word users with inkjets and dumb local lasers create US Letter jobs beause they don't know any better. OO.o users with sensible printers find that they can't print them without reformatting the page. I still maintain that the right answer here is to proportinally scale Letter jobs to fit on A4, and vice versa. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
