To simulate:

1. Create a new Impress document, insert a Chinese Text. Set the typeface as a
Chinese typeface, say Font ABC available in the PC.
2. Save as test-font.odp.
3. Save file test-font.odp as test-font-oo-save.ppt.
4. Open the newly saved test-font-oo-save.ppt file with MSOffice 2002. The text
originally set as typeface Font ABC becomes the default system
font PMingLiU. Incorrect. Format loss!!
5. Open the file test-font-oo-save.ppt with OO. The text appears correctly
as Font ABC. Correct.
6. Now in MSOffice 2002, save test-font-oo-save.ppt as test-font-ms-save.ppt.
The text of course appear as typeface Font ABC. Correct.

Exported flash causing player crashed:

1. Open the attachment
2. Select menu File - Export and select Flash format
3. Open the exported flash file by Macromedia flash player or player plug-in
4. Click next to scroll through the presentation.
5. Player crashes on the 4th page.

What is interesting is that if you delete 2nd page from the presentation and
regenerate the flash file, the player will again crash on the 4th page instead
of the 3rd page.

2. Send Outline to Presentation will create a new presentation with outline as

To simulate:

1. Close all existing OO instances.
2. Open a blank Writer document, select menu Insert - Special Characters.
Pick U+7180, U+7181 to insert.
3. Select the two characters and press ctrl-C to copy.
4. Open a blank Impress document, insert a text block, select ctrl-V to paste
the 2 characters from clipboard to Impress. Impress crashes.

However, if you paste the characters first into a Calc document, Impress will
not crash. The following sequence works.

1. Close all existing OO instances.
2. Open a new Writer document, select menu Insert - Special Characters.
Pick U+7180, U+7181 to insert.
3. Select the two characters and press ctrl-C to copy.

5. Open a blank Impress document, insert a text block, select ctrl-V to paste
the 2 characters from clipboard to Impress. It works.

I found out the problem was caused by an old version of libdb32.dll compiled by
VC++ 6.0 (sleepy cat library) existed in the search path. After removing the
this file, the problem was resolved.
