[graphics-issues] [Issue 35061] HTML export: should use sl ide names for HTML file names (instead of page number)

If non ASCII characters are used in slide titles, users will see problems with generate file names, and may decide to switch back to the page numbers. I don't see the added value of using both the slide number and slide title. You loose the benefit of having a page URL that doesn't change when you insert or remove pages before the current page. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 55007] Update charts should be au tomatic, or at least more accessible
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=55007 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Nov 5 10:19:06 -0800 2006 --- I confirm that the chart doesn't get updated even when the cursor is moved out of the table. This used to work with OOo versions earlier than 2.0. This is still true with version 2.0.4. I'm glad this bug report exists, and mentions the Tools - Update - All charts command. Until I found this report, I couldn't figure out any way to update charts in Writer. This is really an interface usability bug! To quickly reproduce this issue, you can reuse this document: http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo/nov5-2006/chart.odt Cheers, Michael. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. However, I still find something wrong in this behaviour. Don't you think that the Insert - Movie and Sound menu item should be removed from the interface if JMF is not installed or properly set up? In the master page of my presentations, I use a penguin image which is also used in some of my slides. To avoid duplicating the image file data within my document, I want to paste the image from a given slide to the master page. The problem is I didn't manage to paste anything (such as image or text box objets) into my master slide. On the opposite, there is no problem copying objets from the master page into a regular slide. Try by yourself with http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo_sep14_2005/copytomaster.odp ! That's not a critical issue, as I can still insert the same image file using Insert - Picture - From File. However, this results in a bigger document file, as the image file is included twice. [graphics-issues] [Issue 54334] New - Much too slow scroll ing up or down for moving slides
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54334 Issue #:|54334 Summary:|Much too slow scrolling up or down for moving slides Component:|Presentation Version:|OOO 2.0 Beta2 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|Linux Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|editing Assigned to:|wg Reported by:|zumbi --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 7 08:32:42 -0700 2005 --- Hello, In OOo 1.1, it is very easy to move slides within a presentation: just select the slides in Slide Sorter mode and move them with the mouse (keeping the left mouse button pressed). If the target location is further in the presentation, place the mouse cursor at the botton of the slide sorter window and this window automatically scrolls down. In OOo 2.0beta2, it can still be done, but the scrolling down or up is way much slower than in 1.1. Same issue moving slides with the slide pane on the left. As long as you move the slides to another location on the screen, no issue, as no scrolling is needed. This is a quite ugly usability issue, in particular with big presentations. Try moving slides on http://free-electrons.com/doc/embedded_linux_kernel_and_drivers.odp, for example! The only workaround I found is deleting the selection of slides ([Ctrl][X]), scrolling down with the mouse, and pasting the selection in the target location ([Ctrl][V]). However, that's a more risky way, as you can loose some slides if you ever forget to paste some of them. What do you think? In the http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo_sep2_2005/button_bug.odp document, I added a hyperlink button which works fine. However, I cannot manage to select this button with the mouse. Because of this, I can't manage to move this button. I only managed to select it using [Ctrl][A], but this is not a solution, as all other objects in the page are selected too. Try by yourself and let me know if you manage to select this button with the mouse! Is this a bug, or is there something I don't know in the interface? It would be natural to select buttons as any other object (text, image, etc). [graphics-issues] [Issue 42226] Missing newlines in exported textn.html files

I confirm that I'm using file - export - format html in Impress. That's not true that The normal html export from Impress is only generating pages with bitmaps on it. While the bitmap pages are created and are fine, text only pages are also generated. This is very convenient for text-only browsers or mobile devices which can't afford the image bandwidth. To see this by yourself, go to the top level page of the exported document: http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo_feb7_2005/nonewline.html Then, click on the Slide 1 link and then click on the Text link on the upper right corner of this page. That's the text-only page generated by Impress. Note that you can go back to graphics by following the Graphics link then. You can find another example on http://free-electrons.com/doc/embedded_linux_kernel_and_drivers/img0.html . To access the graphics, click on the aA link. I reopen this issue... Thanks for everything! My source document is: http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo_feb7_2005/nonewline.sxi Here's what I get (tested with OOo 1.9 680m77): http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo_feb7_2005/text0.html Here's what I would expect: http://free-electrons.com/issues/ooo_feb7_2005/text0expected.html Note that there's a newline character in the text0.html document but of course it's not sufficient. There should be a br / character too. This should be pretty easy to implement. It would be great if this was fixed in OOo 2.0.
