It was necessary to delete every old directory. Plain uninstall did not help! I have searched the web for similar cases. One is described on http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=586455page=2, although it is Linux-related. My case is a Win2k. However, the common points are that I too uninstalled at some point the OOo to have a clean install. This seems to have resulted in a number of adverse consequences. A newer install on an unintalled version seems to cause a lot of troubles. It is necessary to delete ALL previous directories in order to work again. This is a pain, because I had a number of dictionaries installed, which are now gone. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To change this it would take much time. An accessible user installation is a mandatory requirement to use OOo. The error message itself is irritating and doesn't provide any useful information to solve the problem. Unfortunately this error message is displayed when the start up process is in a early stage. Therefore most messages are hard-coded into the source code as we cannot access the language-dependent resource system. I doubt that this issue is dependent on 110720. cd-tm: Could you please provide me a reproducible scenario. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
