Both with OOO300 m5... Both with a "fresh" OOo doc (drawing). Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this defect (When I've tried to re-create a similar doc, everything was OK...) Hopping someone would be able to find the origin of this bug before the stable release... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Unfortunately I can not reproduce it. It would help me a great deal to fix this issue if someone can give me a step by step instruction how to create this data loss (the less steps the better). The given bugdocs confirm me that we indeed have such a bug but they do not help me to find the problem since the data is already lost. I suspect it has something to do with editing a table and then saving the document without leaving the text edit mode. But looks like it is not that simple... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=92551 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 13 11:43:06 + 2008 --- Dear cl, you asked, "cforbesaus, can you tell something about how you created this table before you saved it? Did you use the clipboard or did you just enter the text? Did you save directly after you entered the text or did you load the document again and then saved?" I started with a blank presentation, and created the table using the drop-down tool in the toolbar; I think I created it with 2 columns and about 10 rows. Then I changed the table properties to make it all plain white background. Then I copied-and-pasted the text from a Writer document. I think I used Paste Special Unformatted Text, but I'm not sure. I put in several blocks of text and fiddled with their formatting a bit, saving occasionally. Everything was fine until I closed the file and went away and did something else for a while. When I opened the file again the text had vanished. I hope this helps. cforbesaus - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Now the picture shows that there actually was text in most of the cells during saving the document, but the actual xml file does not contain any text in those empty cells. They must have been ignored while saving the document in OOo 3.0. >From the bugdoc I can not see how this error has occurred. cforbesaus, can you tell something about how you created this table before you saved it? I assume that this has been an OLE in former times, now the table is a metafile. In 2.4.1 I have complete text ob slide 2 and text in three cells on slide 1. It seemed to work fine. This evening I opened the same file on the same computer, again using v3.beta2 , and most of the text in the table didn't seem to be there. I opened the same file in 2.4.1, and the text was all there. It had clearly been saved, but v3.beta2 wasn't displaying it. I went back into v3.beta 2, loaded the file and exported to .ppt. The text was still missing. I loaded the file in 2.4.1 and exported to .ppt: no problem, there it all was. Weird, huh? I can submit the file for others to experiment with, but I can't see a link on this page to do that. I presume that will happen once the "issue" is registered. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
