Is this copyrights problem or something else? And how will OpenOffice say to user about it (restrictions) - with special messages, with some options, or it will write document without all needed fonts and will say nothing? ( if last posibility - this is wrong :-) ). And last question :) - when embedding fonts will be available? In ver. 2.0 release or later? This is important for me because I often need to use OpenOffice on many computers with Windows / Linux OS'es with non-standard fonts and need good portability of documents... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Is this copyrights problem or something else? Embedding complete fonts in a document can be as problematic as embedding a DVD's movie tracks in a zip file... And how will OpenOffice say to user about it (restrictions) - with special messages, The UI for this has not been specified yet. Good ideas are alway welcome (as an feature request issue for the UI project. when embedding fonts will be available? In ver. 2.0 release or later? Later. The PDF export feature is a good way to make a document viewable on different systems. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Yes. But don't get your hopes too high because many fonts are too restrictive to allow embedding. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Since the ISOCPEUR font is not available on the other machine OOo uses another good font to display U+0438 (cyrillic small letter I), which resembles a reversed N. The real defect seems to be in the glyph for U+0438 in the ISOCPEUR font. It shouldn't look like a small u. The best workaround is to install the fonts on all the systems where they are required. Even if OOo already had the font embedding feature far too many fonts forbid font embedding. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
