Not an OOo but a WinZip problem.

Please advise : What is the 'XP unpack tool' ?? I have never heard of this.
Winzip should unpack / extract the files.

thanks Vince

This does not work for me - here is the exact process I use:

1 - download winzip with IE from cygnal Canada to temp directory 'OOo1.9.109'
2 - Open directory
3 - double click on .zip file and extract to the same directory. The extratction
process creates a new directory called 'SRC680_m109_native_packed-1_en-US.8921'
5 - I open it double click on 'Setup'
6 - Set up starts. Installation wizard starts. I select 'complete setup' I
deselect file types 'Microsoft word docs'
7 - 'Next' > 'Install'
8 - Error 1305. It can not find 'openofficeorg19109' Screen shot error message
already supplied

Please advise - thanks

What I have done on several machines:
- downloaded OOo_1.9.109_Win32Intel_install.zip from Canada Cygnal
- started the explorer and unpacked with the XP unpacktool to
'd:\SRC680_m109_native_packed-1_en-US.8921'
- opened this folder in the explorer
- doubleklicked the setup.exe
- setup starts and runs through without errors
- doing the same but unpacked with WinRAR instead of the XP tool
- setup starts and runs through without errors
If you do the same and get an error I would assume that this problem is related
to your machine. If not please give a detailed walkthrough description to
reproduce. Your screenshot won't help out at all.

I just noticed that in the directory where the OOo 1.9.109 unpacks there *is* an
.msi.sig file. Screenshot attched.

Thanks for the help:

OS - XP SP2
Download - Canada Cygnal
Checksum - tried insdtalling MD5Sum however I find the instructions on the OOo
site incomplete and hence have failed to make this work. ( eg the OOo site
complety ignores that you have to unpack the .exe and gives no instructions as
to where to put it. Putting it in a Windows directory does not work ) I have
however downloaded 2x with the same problem.
Error 1305 - Essentially it can not find the .msi file. I have attached a
screen shot of the error message for your delight.

Curiously I have been downloading versions of OO now for about a year adn this
one is the first to fail.
Thanks Vincej1

Please be more specific: I can't reproduce on Win XP SP2. What OS you're using,
where have you downloaded from, have you checksummed the downloaded file, how
did you unpack, how did you install, what is the error 1305 about?
