To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=60717 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Feb 1 02:02:52 -0800 2006 --- TL-maccy, QA: I copied the files - de_DE/COPYING - de_DE/COPYING_OASIS - de_DE/Copyright - de_DE/INSTALL_de.txt - de_DE/README_de_DE.txt - de_DE/VERSION from the de_DE zip archive to the de_AT directory and renamed README_de_DE.txt to README_de_AT.txt. Also because there is a hyhenator per default for de_DE but not for de_AT and de_CH I made entries in the dictionary.list that reroor hyphenation for those languages to the de_DE hyphenation since it would be odd to have spellchecking and no hyphenation available. The little problem with this is that there is a hyphenation dictionary for de_CH available but not installed by default (maybe a license issue?). Thus I'm somewhat unsure what happens if a user manually installs that dictionary with the wizard. Which one will be used? Is there a way to check this? Or better can someone ask the owner of the de_CH hyphenation dictionary to odify the license in order to allow adding it to the OOo CVS tree and install it along by default. The other thing QA might be interested in: Is there a way to verify that the different dictionaries for de_AT, de_CH and de_DE get used by the spellchecker? I tried to find a difference but failed... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=60717 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Feb 1 02:42:18 -0800 2006 --- if the document's language i set to de_AT the sentence Das Kücken ist zuhaus should be correct with de_DE Kücken and zuhaus must be typos. Regarding the hyphenation files: de_AT can use the de_DE hyphenation files - they are *equal*. I don't think there are real de_CH hyphenation patterns - there are no de_CH TeX hyphenation patterns and probably also no de_CH OOo hyphenation patterns. One can use the de_DE hyphenation patterns (that's what everyone did over the years) but as the Swiss don't use ß (sz ligature) but ss instead, the hyphenation patterns are probably incorrect for some words where ß is replaced with ss in Swiss. The problem is that the wordlist once used for creating the German hyphenation pattern is vanished - otherwise recalculating more precise Swiss patterns would be no propblem. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=60717 User tl changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|STARTED |NEW --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jan 25 05:14:22 -0800 2006 --- I downloaded the dictionareis from http://j3e.de/hunspell/de_DE.zip and http://j3e.de/hunspell/de_CH.zip. The de_CH.zip is fine but I have a little problem with the de_DE.zip. The internal structure of the 'dictionaries' CVS project has a sub directory for each language/country combination, e.g. en_GB and en_US. Since de_DE.zip has also files for de_AT included the proper thing would be to have the sub direcories de_DE, de_CH and de_AT. But the readme and install*.txt are named de_DE. There is nothing similar for de_AT. I thought for a moment about copying all other files for de_AT and modifying them myself accordingly. But I think this is definetly nothing that I should do since I'm not the author of those files. So please make different zip files for each of de_DE, de_CH and de_AT with respective readmes, copyrights, etc... and provide a new link to download those. If you think exact copies are OK for some files it is fine with me, but the decision should be made by you also. BTW: If possible it should be done within the next days since we are approaching the planned deadline for handing 2.0.2 CWS's over to QA. TL-maccy: It looks to me that you're the author or at least know who it is and therefore can assign this issue accordingly. Thus please take over and when everything is resolved hand this issue back to me. Thanks in advance! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The quality of this new hunspell-based dictionaries is also greatly improved from the previous myspell-based version. Someone of the developers might please want to check this in.
