If you do not use fink nor darwinport, use this package :http://eric.bachard.free.fr/Jap/fondu_040527+_0.2.pkg.zip And native Apple fonts will be available. Thank you :-) This issue will be closed, because 1.9.125 is outdated, and maybe buggy (m133 will soon be available as experimental) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I'm running on a new Powerbook running Mac OS X 10.4.2 (8C46). I downloaded the OOo1.9.125_Tiger_fr.pkg.zip file (unzipped it manually using unzip from a bash shell because StuffIt was having problems) and tried to install. It failed with the error message as described when the system check was happening: Could not find specified message for index 17 I installed X11 and the OO.o install proceeded without incident. (Now if I can only find the English headrev binaries so I can use ODF without relying on my ancient French.) The Apple website says you can install X11 from the Tiger DVD. You can also install X11 from the Mac OS X Install CD for Mac OS Version 10.4 that came with the machine. That's all I have. I'm new to the Mac so it wasn't at first obvious (to me anyway) where the extra apps installer was. When you first load the CD you see Install Bundled Software Only as a choice. This is NOT what you want. Scroll down until you find Optional Installs.mpkg and double-click that file. Select X11 and install it. stephe - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Regarding the error message you have, X11 is probably not installed, or not up to date. If you are using Tiger, Apple has choosen to not automatically upgrade X11 while Panther-to-Tiger upgrade, and you must install it : start an install with the Tiger DVD choose customize, select X11 only and install it. Maybe your problem will disappear Important : we need more information to understand exactly the problem you have. Can you please give us the exact version number of OpenOffice.org you are trying to install, and describe what you exactly did ? Thank's in advance - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
