Create a new spreadsheet with the default formatting Verdana 10 2. Into a cell, type The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog (no quotes) 3. Move cursor to another cell, then back to the cell with the phrase. 4. Select the latter half of the phrase and cut it to the clipboard 5. Move the cursor to another cell and paste the half phrase with Ctrl+V 6. The cell to which the paste goes is now formatted as Tahoma 4.6 Please forgive my earlier mistake; I thought it was Calibri, which is why I thought the source of the original copy was significant. It's now obvious that the only application involved is OO.o Calc. I will try to attach a spreadsheet demonstrating the outcome. What other files do I need to provide? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I paste text in from outside (Opera 11 email) using a keyboard mapping defined at the OO.o level: Ctrl+V defined as .uno:PasteUnformatted. Ctrl-V is not mapped at the Calc level. The new text seems to accept the default formatting of Verdana 10. I then copy some of that text from one cell and paste it into another cell, again with Ctrl-V. The pasted cell often gets formatted as Calibri size 4.6 It's possible that the Calibri comes from the original source of the text outside OO.o but the size doesn't come from there. I almost never want to bring format with text when pasting, which is why I have redefined Ctrl+V at th e OO.o level to paste unformatted. When rarely I want to bring the forward, I use Shuft-Insert instead. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
