I'm running the 2.0final and still does not work.

fsk, what are you doing to make this work? What's your mail client? Is it open
when you attempt to attach?

Again, this is a feature that worked someone in RC2. The only catch was that
Thunderbird had to be closed in order for the attachment to attach itself to the
message.

My sense is that this is NOT an OpenOffice issue as it is a Thunderbird issue.
There's no command-line option to attach a file while Thunderbird is open.
(refer to http://www.mozilla.org/unix/remote.html).

Leaving closed; bitter about it though.

I am not able to replicate the issue. Would be could if we could get some more
information about the problem and its environment.
What is the OS that you are running and what is your mail client?
And when you say, it just opens up new message window and does not attach, did
you make sure by sending and then verifying if its attached or not, or either
just try attaching one more file to the mail, and then see in the attachment
section if OOo file is attached or not.

Sorry if I am sounding rubbish, I am asking this because, I have seen such issue
with latest Evolution mail client so wanted to make sure.

I'm running Fedora Core 4 as my OS and Thunderbird as my client.

When I clieck Document as E-mail, thunderbird is activated and a new message
window comes up, as it should. However, there is no attachment in the message
shown in the window, or is it attached after it is sent.

I don't run evolution so I wouldn't be able to check there.

hope that helps.
