I have to mark it 'works for me'. Best regards Peter - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73019 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jan 1 10:32:19 -0800 2007 --- I'm understanding this better .. the file has 'split window' on and it is set to horizontally split and the split line is above the first row. The heavy black line you see when you first open this file is actually the split line but you can't drag it or do anything with it .. probably because it's not intended to appear! This is causing the weird distortions along the column titles. If I turn off split window the problem goes away. When I re-create a horizontal split and try to drag the split line back up to above the first row, the split line disappears which is probably the intended behaviour (and the split line check mark goes off). When I try this on a WINDOWS XP oo2.0 I see the same thing .. the heavy horizontal line (split line) but on this laptop there does not seem to be any lost pixels below the horizontal (heavy) line to cause any artifacts. I've also noticed the problem on a 3rd computer .. linux .. oo2.0 and the distortions exist but not as bad .. a lower resolution LCD screen .. seems there is some kind of trade-off in horizontal line width and font size on the column titles which accents the problem in some cases. Now that I understand the issue of course its easy to fix if I see it again but I'm sure it would be puzzling to people who see it for the first time and don't understand what is going on! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73019 Issue #|73019 Summary|pixel artifacts on spreadsheet column header - setup f |ile problem Component|Spreadsheet Version|OOo 2.1 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|ui Assigned to|spreadsheet Reported by|nordicwind --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Dec 31 08:03:58 -0800 2006 --- I have a spreadsheet file that has a checkered history of earlier OO versions and in and out of microsoft in .xls file format .. this file appears now to have a setup file problem when loaded into version 2.1. I've only looked at this in linux on a debian installation 'etch'. When I swap in a different setup file from a 'new' document created in oo2.1 the problem goes away. (unzip file, swap setup files, zip up) Specifically, as you move the box-selection around and cause column shifts to scroll in from left or right the artifacts start appearing. Also, if you move the window and the 'window size' box appears (kde) and 'bumps' into the title row, it starts to leave artifacts. .. and also if you scroll down on the page you will sometimes see a fragment of the title row percolate down the page. The tell-tale sign that there is a problem appears in the upper left box on the spreadsheet .. the corner box .. where you see that the first horizontal row is too high up and lines up above the rest of the title row. I have not been able to figureout what is it in the setup file that is triggering this problem. I can send example 'bad' setup file and ofcourse a sample .sxc file with the problem.
