Even mouse movement was affected, but there were no error messages or other symptoms, and this happened with other largeish .ods files. I turned off the spellchecker, but to no effect. I uninstalled 2.3 and installed 2.2 which was much better, in load time and in smoothness. I wonder if perhaps OOo 2.3 is not yielding time to I/O processes as often as 2.2 did, which might not show up in 2000/XP. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
