I checked with "Ooo 3.0.0 (DE) Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO300m9
(Build9358)]" and can NOT confirm the reported effect.
I tested with a document containing DDE-links like
"{=DDE("dblogdde";"1";"4002")}" in a matrix (what will read data from a PLC via
serial connection using "dblogdde.exe").
MAC-specific? Only for particular links?

Of course you say "No" and it then leaves the values as they are, not updating them, but not removing them either. * OpenOffice.org sees that the cell values are linked and prompts you to update. Of course you say "No" and it then deletes the cells, leaving empty cells instead of the existing values. This is why you end-up with empty cells and #DIV/0! errors.
