Now I understand, that you wish a "Mind Map" feature in OOo. But I must tell
you, that OOo-Writer is a word processor and so such a feature is so unlikely,
that a issue is useless. But I set it to "OOo PleaseHelp", that means, that
someone else might develope it, OOo is open source.
For improvement of a structure view, there are already the issue 20701 and the
issue 3959, so that here no new issue is necessary.

The navigator is a great instrument to view and manipulate an already well
structured document, however it is definetly -not- designed to -build- a
structured document from scratch.
So called mind managing software allows the user to build a structure right from
the beginning with simple and straight forward navigation (actually cursor keys
, , are alread enough to build a tructured document) in a
2D-dependency tree.
This facilitates a larger portion of the display for structuring (usually up to
300% more!) and allows to show/hide (un-/fold) specific subentries (not only all
at a certain level). What I am also missing is management information like which
portion has been modified when and by whom (necessary in a collaborative
environment) as well as marking (e.g. flagging with "todo", "asigned to", etc.
info) of the elements.
I do agree that this issue should be resolved as a navigator enhancement.

Have you already examined the features of the Navigator? You have a structure
view of your document, you can rearrange your document, you can jump to
headlines and to all the objects and references in your document. You can even
transfer things to other documents. So I think, there is no need for a structure
view.

If you do not agree, please describe, what feature you are missing in
comparision to the Navigator.
