These formats are listed separately on the menu, even though the contents are identical - at least in the above test document - as you implied. Problem does not apply to the Word 97/2000/XP format. - Mike - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. My apologies. I'm using a bog-standard 32-bit PC. - The formatting damage in the DOC file is where all lines in all the numbered and bulleted paras, except line-1, are more indented than line-1. And it's quite difficult to repair this - changing the extra indent back to 0 causes other damage, etc, etc... And if some paras are at an inner level, repairs are nigh impossible... I'm not very familiar with the handling of "issues" here, so you might flag this one as "Re-opened", if you deem it appropriate. Do let me know if I can help in any way. - Mike - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Even when I am using your sample (where the numbering structure looks identically to my test cases) the re-import of the exported .doc looks good. Maybe there is a problem OO has on 64 bit machines... I'll have to investigate. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Please attach your sample odt file, which will look wrongly when exported to doc format. I could not locate it with a few Searches. To illustrate: - Start a new Document. - Type a few trivial "paragraphs", each followed by [Enter]. - Ensure some paras are long enough to "wrap" to at least line-2. - "Number" these paragraphs. - Save as ODT. - Save as MS-Word (DOC). Later, when these files are opened in OOo, the formatting in the ODT file is "as saved", but the formatting in the DOC file, on the wrapped lines, is broken, and is difficult to repair. I don't have MS-Word, so I've not established if the SAVED DOC file is broken, or if the issue arises in the reading/processing of a valid DOC file. AFAIK, this issue is unique to 2.1. It may be in later builds of 2.0. It was not in the earlier builds of 2.0. IMO, this is a major show-stopper for users who normally operate with DOC files.
