TK's suggestion is a good one. If you'd like to translate the manpages themselves and commit that to the source tree, that's also a great idea. However, I don't have the first idea how one would go about doing so, so you'd have to figure that out. We're also open to translation of the applications themselves. There is some support for this built into teh C code (it uses gettext), although the new perl is not yet localized. Again, if you know how to fix this, I'm more than happy to commit the necessary equipment. Dustin -- Storage Software Engineer http://www.zmanda.com
Re: About manual translation
Hello >Which manual are you taking about? There is a Japanese Amanda Wiki: > http://wiki.zmanda.jp/index.php/ I am taking about Amanda manpage in /usr/share/man/man8 directory. Put on Wiki is not bad idea, but I think make the Japanese manual version of manpage is more convenient. By the way, isn't someone known, is it necessary to obtain permission from an author in order to translate? 2009/1/10, Ram TK Krishnamurthy : > > Hello > Which manual are you taking about?
