[AMaViS-user] Announcement: New Home And Maintainer For UVUPDATE Script
Hello and a nice day to all! My name is Ruediger Zapf, I'm the new maintainer of Julio Ceasar Covolato's ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) great DAT and engine update script for the McAfee Unix commandline scanner. For those who need 'direct' contact ;) I'm located in Germany. Please have this in mind, when you'll awaiting answers from me. After a while of development the UVUPDATE-Script has a new home, a new maintainer and last but not least a new release. The new script (Version 2.0.1) is still based on Julios Version 1.4.2.c but has some changes. The new home of the script is: http://uvupdate.allmaechd.net Feel free to download the tar archive's and let me know if it works fine, or which problems must be solved. Re: [AMaViS-user] OT: amavis-stats RH9

Hi, after playing around all morning I got results in the shape of rrd files in the right directory, but now I get an rrdtool eror (not the 127 but a 1). I am using rrdtool-1.2.12 and amavis-stats 0.1.21. Another question. What do you suggest to do about the permissions. Senmail creates logfiles with root:mail amavis runs as amavis and is member of the group mail. apache runs as nobody (and I can't possibly add nobody to the group mail). If I create the rrd files as amavis, apache can't read them, if I create them as nobody, the maillog files can't be read. Any good ideas? Consider logging amavisd-new to a seperate file instead of sysloging to the mail log. If the amavis-stats daemon is running as the apache user, it should have read access to the amavisd-new or mail log files, this should resolve the permission issue. [AMaViS-user] Connection refused
I'm reinstalling Amavis after the lost of a hard drive. I've followed the instructions in /usr/share/doc/amavisd-new-2.3.3/README_FILES/README.postfix and all 'seems' to be ok, HOWEVER, I am seeing quite a few warnings in /var/log/maillog that I've not be able to locate the issue with. I see from 'mailq' that my queue is getting larger. Amavis is listening on 10024: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ telnet 127.0.0.1 10024 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
